Calculate dimensions, allowances, and specifications per standard procedures or general design knowledge of shop capabilities when standard procedures do not exist. Verify and update programs.
Provide technical support and training of others.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Develop expert-level product knowledge in cabinetry & countertop offerings available.
Learn Spruce software to create quotes, orders, and accurately order projects, confirm acknowledgments, and complete shipping paperwork to ensure impeccable customer service!
Work closely with the entire Cabinetry team to maximize each account's potential.
Explore opportunities to elevate builders to new categories and make them more profitable.
Work directly with the builder/homeowner during product selections when possible. Use your skills and confidence to become a valued and trusted consultant.
Weekly job site and customer visits (valid WI DL + clean driving record required)
Become an expert on competitive products and specifically the differences between “us and them.”
Ensure that service issues are addressed within 48 hours. “48 hour solution resolution”
Answer customer service phone calls and assist walk-in customers with a smile!
As you grow in your role you will assist in training and motivating new team members.

As a Staff Industrial Designer, you will play a critical role in developing high-performance products that enhance the experience of outdoor service professionals. Daily Responsibilities
Industrial design at Milwaukee Tool is chartered to create compelling solutions focused on solving critical user needs.
* Lead the development of new products with a deep understanding of user needs, exploring inventive solutions that enhance interactions between the user and the product or system.
* Conduct competitive assessments, field visits, and trend research to identify unmet user needs and inspire innovative designs.
* Explore conceptual directions through sketching, 2D illustrations, renderings, 3D CAD, and physical prototypes, ensuring compelling visual storytelling that gains team alignment.
* Present design proposals in a phase-gate process, securing cross-functional consensus and ensuring strategic alignment.
* Guide projects through all pre-production stages, including specifications for CMF (color, materials, finish), product graphics, and UI, while balancing cost, schedule, and performance trade-offs.
* Collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, and product management teams to ensure designs are executed at the highest level.
* Participate in project meetings, teleconferences, and design reviews, while also leading discussions with process partners and design peers.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in industrial design or equivalent from an accredited institution.
* 3-5 years of professional experience in product design and development, preferably in consumer products or durable goods.
* Portfolio demonstrating strong product design, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in sketching, rendering, and CAD modeling, with experience using Blender, SolidWorks, KeyShot, or similar 3D tools.
* Ability to effectively communicate design concepts through visual storytelling and strategic thinking.
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
