WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• AA or BA in Product Development, Production or Related Apparel Field, Preferred
• 1+ years of demonstrable experience support a busy PD / Production Team
• Exceptionally organized with strong time management and multi-tasking ability
• Must be self-managing
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• No box builders – we want initiative takers and collaborative team members

We are looking for an Product Development Assistant, who will bring clarity, organization and above all else, personality to our team of Product Developers. We prefer you have the enthusiasm and desire to aid in the development of all activities that are deemed necessary to produce manufacture ready products.

About the Job

• Support Product Development team on all development activities.
• Participate and track seasonal fabric and finish developments
• Support and organize pre-production tracking developments
• Track and Support seasonal developments and commercial samples
• Data management and tracking of essential seasonal developments in thru all data systems

About You

• Bachelor's degree or combination of college education and related work experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a position that required the manipulation of large amounts of data using spreadsheet applications
• You can analyze and resolve issues
• Project management abilities with proven systems knowledge and expertise
• Garment production or product development experience preferred
• You are agile with regards to job responsibilities and learning new systems
• Expert knowledge with MS Office applications including Word, Excel and
• You have an energetic, positive, helpful demeanor and a passion and interest in LS&Co.

• Follow up and track all proto styles with vendors and update tracker accordingly
• Ensure that prototypes are in-house on time for all proto/adoption meetings
• Create and maintain sample tracker for all salesmen samples
• Issue all pos to vendors for SMS
• Collect all prices from vendor for protos and sms
• Work with fabric team and vendors to ensure all sample yardage is booked for SMS
• Lead weekly sms/proto meetings with design/merch /production.
• Proactively follow up with each vendor to ensure timely delivery of sms.
• Work cross-functionally and with vendors to come up with creative solutions/workarounds in order to improve execution and delivery date of samples.
• Receive, log and organize all incoming samples.
• Distribute samples to all cross-functional teams and pack/ship where necessary
• Manage and execute all samples for special requests and injections.
• Participate to the allocation meeting at the beginning of each season
• Communicate to each vendor at the beginning of the season; the proto and sms development timeline/due dates
• Additional tasks as requested by management.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years relevant experience.
• Advanced Microsoft suite skills (excel)
• Familiarity with OSCA, FLEX PLM.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Must be efficient with strong attention to details.
• Demonstrate the organizational ability to facilitate multi-tasking in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Have enthusiasm and be self-motivated, have a passion for fashion and clothes, and love challenges
• Strong communication skills
