What is a product development coordinator and how to become one

A product development coordinator plans and executes product development activities in order to achieve a company's strategic goals. He/she develops product specifications, reviews product designs and makes appropriate recommendations to the management. They also take the lead in identifying areas of concern and improvements and initiating relevant corrective measures.

A product development coordinator works closely with the design, production, and development teams to ensure the products meet customer needs and that they align with the company's overall strategy. In order to succeed in their role, they must have extensive experience in product development, leadership skills, decision-making skills, research skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail.

Product development coordinators work 40 hours a week Monday to Friday from 9 to 5. When there are urgent project delivery timelines, they may be forced to work late hours and even over the weekends.
