Our group of mechanical engineers drive products from conception to production including product ideation, research, laboratory/prototype builds, experimental testing, and design for manufacturing. We do not hire discrete design, test, and analysis engineers - our engineers work across all of these roles. This is a hands-on job which will see you design something in CAD, perform FEA/CFD/hand analysis on it, have it fabricated, and physically test and iterate it yourself. As an engineer, you'll have the opportunity to lead your own projects and research. Your creativity and interest determine the next technology you investigate.
We design and manufacture a wide variety of products and perform R&D on an even wider variety. Some of our ongoing research efforts that you may be involved with in this role include: HVAC systems for highly-demanding military applications, diesel engine component design and electrification, advanced robotics and additive manufacturing, design and fabrication of ZnS windows for hypersonic vehicles, laser weapon cooling systems, and much more. You will have the opportunity to learn every day, and no two days will be the same. This position may include proposal writing for your next idea, analytical calculations, computational simulations (CFD and FEA), laboratory build and testing, and direct customer interfacing.
