Requirements You will · Develop PFMEA and process controls including error-proofing administrative and engineering controls · Manage engineering and process change control · Characterize and optimize equipment/machinery · Assist peers with root cause analysis and corrective action investigations · Lead efforts to reduce scrap, rework, repair, and warranty costs · Create mechanical drawings in support of new and existing products · Create, train, and drive standard work methodologies for all shop floor processes · Provide technical support for processes and products throughout the value stream · Specify equipment and tooling to enable & improve manufacturing quality/efficiency · Identify, recommend, and provide justification for the purchase of capital equipment · Provide shop floor layouts and implementation programs for major factory movements · Collaborate closely with appropriate internal & external customers/suppliers · Identify spare requirements, monitor spares backlog, and provide quotations Ideal candidates would have the following qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in a related field with experience in a Manufacturing function · Experience with APQP tools · Experience with AutoDesk Inventor · Ability to read and interpret complex drawings · Thorough understanding of GD&T · Experience in welding, part setup/fixturing · Experience in robot/cobot welding processes · Thorough understanding of AWS and/or NAVSEA welding standards · Familiarity with weldment fit-up processes · Familiarity with oxy-fuel and plasma cutting processes · Proficient using Microsoft Office products · Works well with little supervision Physical Requirements Must be able to sit for long periods of time and spend extended periods of time typing on computer keyboards or other office equipment.
