Pensar supports Clients throughout the entire product development process. As a Product Engineering Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead the Pensar team through project inception, concept ideation and refinement, detailed design, pre-production, manufacturing release, and sustaining.

Job OverviewProject Leadership - Lead cross-discipline engineering teams while providing the support they need to be effective, efficient, and successful. Client Management - Thrill Clients by being resourceful, responsive, and ultimately responsible for their project's success. Employ effective communication and expectation management while serving as Pensar's primary point of contact for the project. Synthesize and distill complex information into summaries and trade-offs to enable Clients to make better decisions for their business. Technical Expertise - Utilize your engineering experience and deep understanding of the product development process to assess and navigate architectural decisions, technical options, trade-offs, and risks with the team and Clients. Risk Management - Develop and master advanced risk management skills, including how to establish acceptable risk criteria, when to escalate issues, and how to communicate risk positions to Clients. Resource Planning - Analyze project needs and resource options, coordinate planning with team members and stakeholders, and implement new project staffing plans. Fundamentals - Develop and manage project logistics including proposals, schedules, budgets, requirements, plan of record, risk analysis, mitigation plans, technical documentation, design reviews, and presentations.

We are looking for a Product Engineering Manager that will be responsible for managing product life cycle, market strategy, road map, feature prioritization, requirements, development, and market adoption for our Automated Order Taker and Menu Management products. Automated Order Taker is an exciting and growing segment of our business and Menu systems are undergoing a technical transformation to meet the omni-channel needs across digital and in-store points of sale. To be successful the Product Engineering Manager must develop strong partnerships with global product owners, development teams, and business stakeholders to drive desired outcomes.
What you'll be doing:

Lead delivery of timely, high-quality, effective features/enhancements/builds for Automated Order Taker and Menu Management products

Leading development squads/vendor teams in evolution and testing of Automated Order Taker and Menu experiences

Lead demos and showcase new features to critical stakeholders

Building out, maintaining, and prioritizing/grooming user stories, roadmaps, and aligning across US and Global stakeholders

Providing application deployment and support to the US market as well as ensuring adoption of Global Technology engineering capabilities

Ensure alignment of product roadmaps with US strategy and, where applicable, Global Technology Product roadmaps and vendor roadmaps

Support a critical transformation effort to modernize McDonald's Menu Management products working with Global Technology and third-party vendors

Understand and anticipate operations, crew, customer, and business needs

Work closely with peer product managers across all channels and capabilities to prioritize initiatives, find opportunities for teamwork, and coordinate product development and delivery

Guide quality testing and Pilot testing for new product releases and features

Work with people directly involved in many aspects of the company's engineering product development activities.

This individual will manage a best-in-class engineering team and foster innovative solutions to adapt the design of the organization to deal with emerging customer needs, creating teams empowered to think big and embrace ideas, explore them, and expand upon them, distilling them into a shipping product.

As a Team Leader, you will mentor the software creation, the definition and assessment of the development time, the development itself and the integration stages. You are expected mentor/guide your team in detail about oriented understanding of the specifications, the quality of the code and the integration tests.
The main responsibilities are:

* Foster and nurture the growth of their reports, matching their expectations with the company goals.
* Set performance goals according to employee expectations and company needs and check the progress towards these goals with periodical check-ins, collecting feedback, and giving support and direction
* Support people growth, facilitating and planning required training
* Cascade and clarifies organizational vision, strategy, goals, and procedures to team members
* Collaborate with the recruiting process (candidate screening and interviews) and help define the team composition and the overall organization design
* Participates in defining and following the career paths of the team members, by monitoring performance, proposing compensation changes and one-time payments

Must Have Experience:

* 12+ years' experience in SW engineering and 5+ years of experience as a team lead.
* Experience in programming, including knowledge of object-oriented programming language such as Java
* Experience with front-end oriented technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript, with a focus on Angular 2+ Framework
* Experience with Relational Databases and SQL and Big Data technologies
* Experience with SDLC tools like Jira, GIT, WebStorm
* Ability to manage high performing technical talent from junior to more senior levels
* Strong collaboration skills and desire to work in a highly collaborative environment with cross-cultural teams
* Must demonstrate strong technology leadership, innovation, and skills
* Good judgment, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and a finely tuned balance of technical purity

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent science or technology related field
