S&C Electric product marketing engineer job description

This position is for an engineer who understands the general aspects of power distribution and protection, which includes automation and control, underground switchgear and overhead products and applications, but is more involved in the tactical aspects of product management. The Product Marketing team supports the Product Management organization and is responsible for managing tactical product management activities and collaborates with our other product management team members to ensure the organization is running efficiently. In this position, you will report to the Assistant Manager - Product Marketing in Chicago. The location for this position is at S&C headquarters in Chicago.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Maintaining product management KPIs.
* Administrating product management systems and processes.
* Ensuring the product management function is resolving questions and support requests.
* Collaborating with Marketing Communications to support trade shows and manage trade show demos.
* Working with Creative Services and product managers on literature updates and new marketing materials.
* Support customer factory visits and demonstrations.
* Tracking and reporting on the competitive landscape for S&C's product portfolio.

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:

* BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. MBA is desirable.
* Good PC skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe and Power BI software.
* Strong technical leadership abilities with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Relevant Experience Required: One to three years of proven product marketing/management experience of power distribution and protection products.
