🎯 PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
8+ years of Product Management experience, including 5+ years in AI, ML, Cloud, or distributed systems.
Strong technical fluency - able to collaborate closely with engineering on AI infrastructure, APIs, and platform-level features.
Proven ability to turn customer insights and data into actionable product strategies and go-to-market plans.
Experienced in data-driven decision-making and using metrics to guide roadmap and measure success.
Skilled at cross-functional collaboration, aligning engineering, design, sales, and marketing around shared goals.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills - able to translate technical complexity into business value.
Strategic thinker with a bias for execution, balancing long-term vision with immediate delivery.
Experience in startup or high-growth environments with a fast-paced, iterative culture.

WAGE TRANSPARENCY

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of product management experience in SaaS, enterprise software, or developer tools
Deep knowledge of integration architecture, patterns, and platforms; understanding of cross-application business processes and API best practices
Technical depth and communication skills to collaborate effectively with senior engineers
Hands-on experience working with third‑party APIs, designing RESTful APIs, and partnering on integration solution design
Proven success in high-velocity product teams delivering customer value through iteration and tight feedback loops

The base salary range for this position is 180,000 - 304,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.

The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. As a Principal Product Manager you will:

Define the essential functions and capabilities required to serve distinct customer needs, from high-concurrency BI to complex ETL/ELT workloads.
Roadmap Management: Develop and maintain a prioritized product roadmap aligned with product strategy. Make data-driven decisions on feature priorities, balancing customer needs, market trends, and technical debt.
Apache Iceberg Integration: Prioritize and define the features that enable advanced data lakehouse capabilities (e.g., schema evolution, time travel) with the latest Apache Iceberg versions across both Hive and Impala engines. Own the Kubernetes Roadmap: Direct the development of features for elasticity, cost optimization, and automated resource management across the hybrid cloud, ensuring cloud-native efficiency for the SQL engines.

A Cloudera PM needs strong technical acumen to credibly discuss the underlying Apache projects (like Hive, Impala, Ranger, Kafka, Iceberg).
UX Simplification: Collaborate with UX/Design to ensure that complex infrastructure and data management features are packaged into a simple, intuitive user experience. This means making a Kubernetes-orchestrated data service feel as simple as a few clicks for the end-user.
Champion the Hybrid Cloud Data Lakehouse, serving as the senior product expert for CDW with customers, partners, and industry analysts.
