ProductTesters are wanted to work from home nationwide in the US to fulfill upcoming contracts with national and international companies. We guarantee 15-25 hours per week with an hourly pay of between $25/hr. and $45/hr., depending on the In-Home Usage Test project. No experience required.
There is no payment required in order to apply or to work as an In-Home Usage Tester. You don't have to buy products or pay for shipping, everything is paid by our company. In-Home Usage Testers are considered independent contractors, we pay weekly every Wednesday by direct deposit or by cheque.

Main Duties:
Properly document In-Home Usage Tests as instructed in the In-Home Usage Test Daily Schedule (screenshots, audio recordings, videos, product journal entries, etc.)
Take care of the product being tested and use it responsibly
Read and strictly follow the In-Home Usage Test Daily Schedule provided with each producttesting project (may include tasks such as unpacking, reading instructions, journal entries, online or mobile feedback, usage of product for a certain amount of time, writing reviews, taking pictures, etc.)
Some In-Home Usage Tests projects may require participants to use MFour's Mobile In-Home Use Test Technology (cutting-edge smartphone technology to capture Point-of-Emotion insights to gain unparalleled depth of responses)
There are times when the product being tested may be discussed in a private chat room that is opened by a market research firm
Write reviews as requested in the In-Home Usage Test Daily Schedule for each project

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance and integrity of ALU's enterprise systems with a primary focus on the Student Information System (SIS) and its integrations with other Corporate platforms. 1. QA Strategy & Governance
Define and implement QA standards, processes and automation frameworks across all SIS and corporate systems.
Establish a test management strategy that covers functional, integration, regression and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Ensure test coverage aligns with user stories, acceptance criteria and system requirements.
Maintain a central QA documentation repository, including test cases, scripts and defect logs.
2. Test Planning & Execution
Reduce production defects by implementing proactive testing gates and enforcing test readiness criteria before deployment.
Design, develop and execute test cases (manual and automated) for new features, integrations and releases.
Conduct end-to-end testing of SIS workflows; particularly points of integration with Finance (e.g., student billing, refunds, payments, reconciliations).
Perform regression testing to ensure new changes do not break existing functionality.
Track and manage defects through the full lifecycle from discovery to resolution.
Own the final QA sign-off for releases and ensure readiness criteria are met before deployment.
Incorporate basic security testing and collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to ensure vulnerabilities are identified early.
3. Automation & Tools Implementation
Implement and maintain appropriate automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Provar, Playwright, TestComplete, or similar).
Develop reusable automated test scripts and data sets to improve efficiency and coverage.
Integrate automated testing with the CI/CD pipeline where applicable.
Monitor test automation results and generate clear reports for stakeholders.
4. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements, acceptance criteria, and test readiness.
Partner with data and system integration teams to validate data accuracy between SIS, Finance and other corporate platforms.
Support UAT by coordinating testing with end users and providing structured feedback mechanisms.
Identify recurring issues, propose process improvements, and advocate for quality-first development practices.
5. Reporting & Metrics
Produce regular QA reports summarizing defects, testing progress, release readiness and quality trends. The following KPI's indicate success: 95% of defects discovered before production;
90% automation coverage of critical SIS workflows and 100% of releases pass QA readiness gates
Maintain testing dashboards for visibility across the Transformation Office.
Provide post-release reviews and feedback loops to improve future testing cycles.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all young persons and vulnerable adults with whom we deal, by adhering to ALCHE's comprehensive safeguarding policy, maintaining a zero-tolerance approach to any violations of safeguarding standards.
QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will contribute to our River Class Destroyer (RCD) program as a member of our Integration, Test, and Evaluation (IT&E) Cross Product Team (CPT):
Development of shipboard Test and Trials (T&T) for the Lockheed Martin scope of supply; including Set-to-Work (STW), shipboard integration testing, Harbour Acceptance Trials (HATs), Sea Acceptance Trials (SATs), and operational test & evaluation
Support planning and the execution of activities that drive initial and final acceptance of each ship for the Lockheed Martin scope of supply
Support proper activation and operation of each ship including Combat Management System (CMS), Operating Environment (OE), and interface/integration with other subsystems
Coordinate with the ship integration team to deconflict any preventative or corrective maintenance tasks for the Combat System (CS)
Identify and resolve combat system integration issues so that priority defects are corrected to meet testing schedules
Identify and resolve system problem reports so that priority defects are corrected to meet testing schedules
Review and analyze test results and report findings as necessary for the integration and functional testing
Execution of shipboard regression testing for all delivered CMS builds
Coordinate with other specialty engineering leads including safety, cyber security, and human systems integration to ensure testing is comprehensive
Responsive to ship identified problems to include specific testing and identifying rectification paths
Support Configuration Management (CM) of all combat systems installed on ship for Lockheed Martin scope of supply
Conduct of sub-system software regression testing on delivered sub-system software providing recommendation for acceptance and further release to ships.
Planning
Ensure CS equipment is properly configured for each test event
Coordinate test engineering team in data collection and analysis for summary report, problem isolation and problem resolution.
Ensure defects are documented utilizing the problem reporting process
Support customer familiarization with entire CS equipment, maintenance and operations
Support continuous management of the ship schedules understanding program priorities of use
Work closely with other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to effectively manage and coordinate build dates and testing
Develop plan with other IPTs for the coordination of Sub-System STW.
Reporting
Reports to the ship T&T Lead
Escalate issues that impact planned test events to senior leadership in real time
Maintain current metrics for problem reports
Attend daily stand-up to report out on major issues.
