Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $81,900 - $102,400 per year. Offered salary is dependent upon experience and San Francisco location. SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a junior to mid-level Packaging Production Artist to join our creative packaging team. The expected starting pay range for this position is $71,400 -$83,850 Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.

The primary role of the position is to preflight and prepare press-ready client files for our diverse print manufacturing operation. Experience with large-format signage / display prep and sheet-fed traditional offset / digital printing prep and interest in layout & design services a plus. The position requires excellent attention-to-detail skills and working in a FAST-paced team environment. 80% prepress / 20% layout services.

Responsibilities
Review print job specifications to develop a full comprehension and thorough understanding of requirements in preflight before proceeding to prep
Address job questions / tasks from other departments to keep client projects moving
Follow all established department and company process guidelines and contribute feedback to improve current or emerging processes
Job Requirements:
Experience as a Prepress and Layout Operator in a prepress environment at a printing operation
Extensive experience using Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro
Working knowledge of spot-color / four-color separations, dieline creation and trapping
Knowledge of USPS mail requirements, variable data printing, Excel, MS Office is a plus.
Qualifications:
Digital printing experience preferred
Ability to organize several activities at the same time
Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, if needed
Ability to maximize profit through the efficient use of time and equipment
Can perform basic bindery functions
Knowledge of Wide Format Printing a Huge Plus!
Job Type:Full-time -8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
