Be able to prioritize what needs to be done and work autonomously.
Work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Read, interpret, and allocate appropriate time to a Work Order.
Work with co-workers and customers with file transfers, FTP access, photo library options, online proofs, etc.
Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, aesthetic design, and production requirements.
Prepare comprehensive illustrations, sketches, layouts, and copy for print reproduction according to instructions of the client or supervisor.
Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending them to output. Ensure correct material is used for each job and output device settings are accurate.
Maintain customer logo library; convert graphic files.
Image Sourcing: locate photos, understand copyright laws and release/usage requirements, knowledge of resources to buy stock images, work with service bureaus to create output beyond store capability, and understand resolution options and optimal enlargement specifications from image vendors and image originals.
Provide proofs as necessary for customer approval.
Maintain an accurate electronic record of File Storage following brand standards.
Communicate with other employees, Sales/Service members on job requirements, timing, and special needs; Production team on job input and output; Production Manager/Center Manager on inventory needs for computer supplies.
Be accountable for the expected workload.
Able to prioritize what needs to be done and work autonomously.
Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs when necessary.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
Participate in and practice the brand mentality of “Everybody Sells.” Constantly be looking for sales opportunities for the center.

Manage and update the content and layout of stlfoodbank.org (WordPress), including blog posts, engagement opportunities, events, and regular page maintenance.
Develop and design digital marketing materials, including emails, display ads, social media graphics, and landing pages for the website.
Work with internal teams to ensure accuracy of information, performance, and SEO refinement of website content.
Monitor and report on web analytics and performance of the website and social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
Assist in the creation and execution of digital campaigns that amplify content reach and effectiveness.
Develop and maintain a digital toolkit for use by external stakeholders.
Branding & Design
Own and enforce the St. Louis Area Foodbank's brand and content guidelines with internal and external stakeholders.
Develop and design all required print materials as requested by stakeholders, ensuring they are on-brand and clearly convey the vision and mission.
Serve as an internal expert, assisting stakeholders in ensuring materials bearing the SLAFB name are visually and conceptually aligned with the organization's mission.
Visual Media
Serve as photographer/videographer as requested for organizational needs.
Produce and edit raw video footage into cohesive stories that convey the Foodbank's mission and vision.
Create graphics for social media and digital campaigns.

Requirements:

Join a fast-paced marketing team where creativity meets strategy! As a Graphic Design Intern, you'll collaborate with marketing experts and Carboline's Creative Lead to design impactful content and visuals across multiple product lines. From concept to execution, you'll help craft digital and print collateral that supports global campaigns and elevates brand presence. Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, you'll gain real-world experience in a collaborative, innovative environment where your ideas and designs make a difference.

Minimum Requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
Available to work 30-40 hours per week from May through August.
Strong communication, organization, creativity and interpersonal skills.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements:
Primarily office-based with extended computer use (up to 8 hours/day).
Students must have housing arrangements in or near St. Louis, MO for the summer, as housing allowance is not provided.
No unusual lifting, environment, or exertion requirements.
Essential Functions:
Design and refine engaging marketing collateral-flyers, brochures, guides, and more-for both print and digital distribution.
Create eye-catching digital ads that promote products and thought leadership content.
Develop compelling social media graphics that elevate brand visibility and engagement.
Ideate, film, edit, and publish basic video content to support marketing campaigns.
Ensure all creative work aligns with the company's brand standards and visual identity.
Take initiative on additional creative tasks and projects as assigned.
Champion safety and quality by following company protocols and contributing to a positive, productive work environment.

Create computer-generated full-color graphics and/or vinyl output that can be printed and mounted to a substrate or weeded, cut and applied

Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, aesthetic design, and production requirements.
Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending them to output. Ensure correct material is used for each job and output device settings are accurate
Maintain customer logo library; convert graphic files
Hands on production and installation
Ideal Qualifications for FASTSIGNS Graphic Designer:
1-3 years of graphic design experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
Ability to prioritize jobs, multi-task, and work autonomously
Determine the best output method based on the customer's needs
Sit and view a computer screen for long periods (4 hours or more)
Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
