What You Will Do:
Review filling and packaging instructions at beginning of line runs. Ensure the correct packaging materials are available. Ensure the correct Personal Protective Equipment is available and other safety procedures are understood and followed.
Ensure the line is set up correctly per the filling and packaging instructions
Operate filling and packaging equipment continually. Types of equipment could include filler, sleeve labeler, cappers, tape machine, bar coders, ink jet printer, hand wrenches, hand stamps, palletizers, and lid presses. Adjust equipment to control weight, closures, or other as required by the specifications.
Take samples and keeps area clean
Actively participate in Kaizens, 5S, and special projects
Continuingly identify opportunities for system and process waste elimination
Complete and document activities that measure quality and productivity in an accurate and timely manner. This could include taking weights and performing basic quality tests. Enter results on paper or in electronic systems.
Complete packaging and filling assignment meeting or exceeding the standards
Assist with line changeover, including the collection of wash water
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

JOB DETAILS Base Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour, plus $1 per hour shift differential Shift available: 3rd shift: 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, plus overtime when needed DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.
* Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
* May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
* Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
* Understand and carry out verbal instructions
* Read and carry out simple written instructions
* Read work orders, labels, and schedules
* Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
* Make fraction and decimal conversions
* Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
* Perform other duties as assigned
* Provide on-the-job training to new employees
Qualifications
* Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

* Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
* Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
* Ability to stand for extended periods
