The Production Management Trainee (PMT) Program is a dynamic, two-year accelerated leadership development program designed to cultivate the next generation of manufacturing leaders. Through a structured rotational framework, trainees gain immersive, hands-on experience across critical manufacturing operations. By collaborating closely with senior experts, participants learn essential processes, procedures, and industry standards fundamental to effective leadership in manufacturing. The Production Management Intern will support the plant and contribute to the team's goals and objectives. The regular schedule is eight hours per day, five days per week, but you may be required to work other shifts and weekend hours as needed. Candidates should have a strong interest in becoming a people leader and business management in a manufacturing environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Loading and Unloading * Safely load and unload still retorts with cages containing finished products. * Ensure proper placement of cans from the production plant into retort cages. Quality Control * Verify that production can codes match corresponding paperwork. * Maintain legible and accurate records of can count and time of retort cook. * Maintain overall cleanliness in the production area, in-line with GMPs. Operational Support * Pull and push retort cages into and out of still retort. * Work closely with Retort Operators to facilitate smooth operations. * Communicate ongoing production status to shift lead person and shift supervisor. Cross-Training * Be cross trained in all areas of the production crew to ensure versatility. * Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management. Adherence to Safety Standards * Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. * Identify and report any safety concerns or issues promptly. * Follow chemical handling protocols for safe use and disposal of chemicals.
