**As a Production Management Intern you will:**
+ Gain knowledge in executing operational plans and projects, including DMS (Daily Management Systems) for day-to-day operations, QMS (Quality Management Systems), new equipment and software startups, and innovative product qualifications.
+ Participate in AGILE project management and lead the verification and testing of Manufacturing software and applications.
+ Influence software capabilities to achieve six sigma quality performance and enhance Quality Management System.
+ Assist with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) implementation and Lean activities, including participation in Continuous Improvement or Kaizen events and developing, implementing and improving autonomous and preventive maintenance workstreams.
+ Assist in root cause analysis and execute on corrective actions
**Elements of the KDP Internship Program include:**
+ Engaging and partnering on innovative projects to gain experience in a challenging, cross functional team environment
+ Participate in meet & greets and lunch & learns with KDP executives and other organization leaders
+ Receive professional development training such as networking, professional skills development and presenting
+ Be paired with a mentor to enhance your knowledge of other parts of the business and build your network
+ Complete a project from start to finish and present it and your takeaways to your team, department vice president and other KDP stakeholders
**Total Rewards:**
+ $31.00/ hour
+ Paid bi-weekly
+ $2,500.00 Sign-on Bonus, paid within first 30 days of employment
**Requirements:**
+ Must be an undergraduate currently enrolled in a full-time academic program from an accredited college or university, majoring in STEM, Engineering, Food Science or another related field
+ Available to work 40 hours per week (M-F, 8am-5pm)
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines
+ Strong communication skills including excellent listening, written, and verbal abilities
+ Passion for Manufacturing and CPG
+ Ability to work cross-functionally, be independently driven, and a self-starter
+ Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI

Role purpose:

Perform other duties as required to meet field operations
Work alongside the Agronomist and Operation teams to execute key projects/deliverables in the processing of vegetable seeds
Support field activities including; trial coordination, rouging, disease and weed scouting, pollination, harvesting, threshing, drying, and delivery from grower to processing facility
Complete data validation and reports to support global and regional operation's needs; including equipment run time and scheduling needs

Qualifications
Acceptable Majors
• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• Enrollment in a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline (Agronomy, Agricultural Business, Plant Science/Biology or another closely related major is preferred)
Preferred Requirements
Student with a Sophomore or Junior class standing are highly encouraged to apply

Equipment Testing & Troubleshooting

This is a 2nd shift-based position, working on-site Monday through Friday, from 3pm to 11:30pm. The Cell Therapy Production Associate, Oncology plays a critical role in the production of Orca Bio's life-saving cell therapy products, ensuring adherence to strict quality standards, regulatory requirements and aseptic production techniques. Reporting into the assigned supervisor, commercial manufacturing, the job involves repeatedly executing manufacturing processes, cleaning and maintaining production equipment and workstations and documenting production activities in a highly regulated environment. The role collaborates closely with Materials Management, Quality Control (QC), and Quality Assurance (QA) to carry out GMP manufacturing runs as part of a cross-functional team.Physical Demands
Production Associates: Must have visual acuity of 20/20 (corrected or uncorrected) and normal color vision to safely perform critical tasks such as visual inspection of materials, equipment, and labeling, including distinguishing color-coded components in a GMP environment.
Must be able to meet cleanroom gowning requirements, including wearing full gowning (face coverings, gloves, hoods, goggles) for extended periods, as needed. Use of cosmetics (makeup, painted nails), jewelry, or facial piercings is not permitted in the cleanroom, and any skin conditions that cause shedding must be disclosed.

Must be able to work at either Orca Bio Sacramento location (3400 Business Dr. or 7910 Metro Air Pkwy) based on operational needs.
Must be comfortable regularly participating in video-based meetings.

Key Responsibilities
Operate and closely monitor advanced manufacturing equipment to support the production of cutting-edge cell therapy products
Follow and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) and batch records to perform production activities
Identify and resolve equipment or process issues, escalating to management as necessary
Complete all assigned training to maintain required technical proficiency and adhere to cGMP standards
Operate, monitor, clean, and prepare advanced automated equipment for cell processing, expansion, and filling in Grade B/C cleanroom environments. All required PPE and GMP-compliant gowning are provided by the company
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including manufacturing efficiency, compliance practices, and support for investigations, deviations, and change control processes
Required to participate in an on-call rotation as needed for weekend and/or holiday shifts
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree and at least 1 year of experience in biomanufacturing, OR
High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of biomanufacturing experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in GMP-compliant environments
Involvement in investigations, deviations, and change control processes
B.S. degree in Biological or related sciences

* Follow company policy and procedures, as to set the example for the rest of the team.
* Degarbage: Remove Freon, power steering fluid, power brake fluid, batteries, excess garbage, and other items as prescribed by procedure.
* Drain: Remove gasoline, coolant, waste oil, transfer case oil, catalytic converters, and other items as prescribed by procedure.
* Set & Pull: Place vehicles on wheel stands so customers can safely access sellable parts. Remove vehicles and clean up the surrounding area in preparation for the next vehicle set. Other duties as prescribed by procedure.
* Field Decore: Loosen the motor and transmission mounts. Remove any remaining tires and selected core items as prescribed by procedure.
* Ground Decore: Remove heater cores, copper wire, and other items as prescribed by procedure. Maintain the crush pad work area to reduce equipment downtime, harvest cores, and ensure environmental compliance.
* Table Decore: Dismantle engines and transmissions. Remove selected small cores, harvest wire, sort commodity materials, and other duties as prescribed by procedure.
* Tire Dismantling: Use the tire machine to separate rubber tires and wheels. Remove weights and stems. Sort tires and prepare rims for shipment.
* Janitor: Collect and harvest core dismantled core materials. Remove debris. Identify & address safety risks in the customer area. Other duties as prescribed by procedure.
* Miscellaneous: Assist customers as needed in a courteous manner. Review and complete logs for regulatory and tracking purposes. Maintain and replace storm water control devices. Assist in the review and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
Qualifications:
* Ability to wear and maintain all prescribed PPE and follow basic safety practices.
