High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to stand for 12 hours No prior experience as a production operator is necessary. Training will be provided by the company as noted above. Ability to communicate effectively with fellow Operators, support staffs and the Shift Supervisor. Good attention to detail, and the ability to determine if a part meets quality requirements. Ability to fill out forms and labels accurately and neatly. Operator will be trained to the company standard processes and training will be confirmed by a written and hands on assessment by the Production Team Leader/Supervisor. Competency: Requires a minimum Peg test score of 6 in the assembly portion. Requires a minimum score of 70% on the Quality Parts Test and the Final Test in orientation. Verifies the proper use of standard packs when they are set up for work orders. Trains new associates as directed by supervisor. Follows the “first-in, first out” system of using raw materials. Completes all requirements to satisfy the First Piece Inspection Process. Mig Welders operates robots, use machine lifts , must be Mig Weld certified per classroom training, written test and coupon samples and inspects repairs parts to the required specification requirements(Premium Position), Bender operators run equipment, review part quality and make machine adjustments to ensure part quality based upon part dimensional aspects (Premium Position), Roll Mill may participate in die sets and part adjustments for quality purposes (Premium Position). Prog Operators participate in die sets, setting machine to parameters and trouble shoot equipment including dies to ensure part quality standards including First Piece and Last Hit (Premium Position). Transfer Press Operators perform die sets, adjusts machine to parameters, trouble shoot equipment to ensure part quality standards (Premium Position), Shearline Operators participate in die sets, coil alignment, setting machine to parameters and trouble shoot equipment to ensure part quality strands including First Piece (Premium Position). Performs other essential functions as assigned. JOB QUALIFACTIONS REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma, G.E.D. or the equivalent preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS: Experience in a manufacturing environment helpful but not required. MAJOR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: The employee must be able to stand on the concrete floor for the duration of the work shift, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, bend to the floor and use their arms and hands. Visual precision is needed for visually inspecting parts for quality at production equipment speed and for reading documents, machine gauges and precision measuring equipment. WORKING CONDITIONS: The employee will work in a manufacturing/stamping plant. Hazards may result from loud noises from operating equipment, physical dangers associated with moving equipment and machine parts, breathing of fumes and dust and skin exposure to oils and other fluids. TEAM MEMBER/ PRODUCTION Employee must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and repetitively lift up to 35 pounds from and to a height of 10-56 inches for the work shift. TRAILER HITCH / MIG WELD TEAM MEMBER The employee must be able to lift up to 60 pounds from and to a height of 10-56 inches up to one time a minute for the work shift. BALANCE OF TEAM MEMBERS INCLUDING CONTAINMENT AREA: Employee must be able to exert up to 40 pounds of force repetitively from and to a height of 10-56 inches up to four times a minute for the work shift. The employee must be able to exert up to 55 pounds of force occasionally, from and to a height of 10-56 inches.
