Perform clean-up using proper tools and machinery as needed.
Responsible for notifying supervisor of any object found or pest sighted in the work area.
Must be aware of the following and assist in interpreting and enforcing them: ALL sanitation guidelines, safety regulations, and company policies.
Monitor and ensure that the following areas are running smoothly and not backing up: “Big Blue”, Cello Pit, and South Plant.
Perform other assigned duties.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications:
High School/GED Diploma or one to two years experience in related field or a combination of both education and experience
Valid Driver License and clean driving record
Required Skills and Abilities:
Effective communication skills.
Punctual, excellent attendance record, and cooperate with others.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Basic mathematical and computer skills.
Apply common sense, understand, and carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form
Preferred Qualifications:
Two to three years' experience in production maintenance (production worker).
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Mechanically inclined
Forklift certified
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Environmental exposure to wet and humid conditions
Material exposure- moving mechanical parts
Occasional exposure to environmental factors such as fumes, airborne particles and vibrations.
Must be able to lift/ push-pull/ carry up to 50lbs.
Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
Ability to ascend and descend ramps, steps, ladders, stairs using three-point contact
Environmental exposure-hot/humid conditions (95°Fahrenheit or above).
Exposure to extreme cold temperatures(34°Fahrenheit or below)
Stand for prolonged periods of time; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach and twist
Capable of repeating repetitive motions

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
The Cello - ProductionAssistant will assist the supervisor in trouble shooting, making minor adjustments, and report any issues with plant equipment to achieve maximum levels of quality and production while minimizing downtime. Training will be “on-the-job” and in a fast-paced work environment. This vital position will also work closely with the plant operator, assistant supervisor, and maintenance staff.
