Responsibilities
Operational Communication:

Collaborate with the Shift Supervisor, Cold End Coordinator, and Maintenance teams to address equipment issues and ensure preventative maintenance or repairs are performed promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
Stay informed on plant and safety matters by actively participating in department and plant safety meetings.
Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and promoting safety awareness.

Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain current OSHA Certified Powered Industrial Vehicle operator license.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of industrial experience in a manufacturing environment.
Must have exhibited excellent attendance in prior work history and be committed to maintaining such attendance. This is a key qualification, due to the unusual nature of the operation.
To perform this job successfully, individuals must demonstrate the following:
Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
Accurately count and perform basic math functions, including mental calculation of simple equations and/or fractions.
Must be able to sufficiently read, write, and understand English.

What you'll do:
+ Support Laminator Operator in setting up and operate the machine if operator is absent (cross train)
+ Transport laminated, raw material, and printed material throughout the warehouse using forklift.
+ Break down raw material or film from skids to be loaded on to machine.
+ Use mechanical lift to load/unload printed and laminated rolls on and off machine and adjust shaft for recommended core size.
+ Able to manipulate controls and use of dial indicators on machine.
+ Prepare materials that coincide to the production schedule and work order.
+ Keep track of raw materials at plant for production so machines do not run out.
+ Label all finished and return to stock material accurately.

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. One to two years of prior manufacturing experience is preferred, with an emphasis on material handling, machine support, or general production tasks. Candidates should have the ability to follow instructions, learn processes, and work effectively under supervision. Basic math skills and familiarity with measurement tools are expected. Produce Assistant: Hourly Lead Person in the Produce Department and responsible for total department operation including direct supervision of its backroom and production. This person's primary duties include: working with both Full Time and Part Time Helpers and include ordering, receiving and checking-in perishable and non-perishable merchandise, cooler organization, product rotation, inventory [Back stock Control], trimming, packaging, sanitation, and housekeeping. Additional responsibilities include departmental scheduling, performance evaluations and employee relation issues. Secondary duties assume related activities as required including customer service on the sales floor.
Qualifications:
Availability: Must be available to be scheduled 35+hrs a week, including nights and weekends, based on department needs.
Previous Experience: Previous Produce prep, merchandising, and sales floor experience required.
Physical Demands: Repetitive lifting, bending, stooping, pulling, pushing and carrying to 50#; occasional lifting and carrying to 80# -- this is a very physical job.
