The Role:
Working with the team leader, you will maintain inventory and manage order tracking. You will forecast and plan requirements with the team leader to ensure that inventory for internal use is in place to meet project demands, and communicate effectively with managers, supervisors and other departments. You are a competent and motivated team player with demonstrated ability to provide effective quality assurance with lab techniques in the department. On the R&D side, you will have the opportunity to help develop new technologies and techniques for new product lines and services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee inventory organization while maintaining adequate stock levels to ensure uninterrupted workflow
* Handle production duties such as viral transfection, purification, and amplification
* Conduct quality assurance tests involving qPCR and mammalian cell culture
* Assess and develop new technologies and techniques to expand and enhance product lines and services for virus-related products
* Prepare products for shipment and compile all required documentation
* Take part in general lab maintenance to ensure a safe, clean and well-equipped working environment for the team
Qualifications:
* Education : Master's (MSc) in Virology, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences or related field; or Bachelor's (BSc) and at least 2 years of relevant industry experience.
* Technical Proficiency : Solid foundation in virology and molecular biology techniques is essential; hands-on experience with cell culture, molecular cloning, RT-PCR, and virus production is a strong advantage.
* Analytical and Detail-Oriented : Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail in experimental procedures, data analysis, and documentation to ensure high-quality outputs.

Virginia Tech's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) is seeking applicants for a 9-month tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Cropping Systems and Organic Production with research (50%) and extension (50%) responsibilities. This position, based at the Southern Piedmont Agricultural Research and Extension Center (AREC) in Blackstone, Virginia, will work collaboratively with resident faculty at ARECs across Virginia and the main campus to provide relevant and timely research-based information to stakeholders producing plant commodities in the Commonwealth. The Virginia Tech ARECs, with faculty from a broad range of disciplines, are at the forefront of cross-disciplinary applied research and discovery related to agronomic and horticultural crops, forages, livestock, and seafood.
This position will have a tenure affiliation with the School of Plant and Environmental Sciences at Virginia Tech and will also be affiliated with the Center for Advanced Innovation in Agriculture (CIAA), contributing to Virginia's Smart Farm Innovation Network.

Overview of the Photo Production Assistant role
In this role, you will be responsible for organizing, transporting, and staging merchandise, props, surfaces, grip, crafty, and other supplies necessary to efficiently execute each shoot. You will be relied on by the Producer for any updates regarding product issues, supply shortages, equipment and truck maintenance, etc. We are seeking a Photo Production Assistant who is a self-starter, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and proactively to constantly support all facets of our photo teams while maintaining a can-do attitude.
Responsibilities
Work with Producers daily to review what's needed to execute photoshoots including - ordering and organizing merchandise and props, prepping surfaces, equipment, and crafty items.
Sample Coordination
Understand the sample ordering/returning process to help organize and track merchandise before and after photoshoots.
Unpack and carefully re-pack photo samples safely for transit between photo teams, WS buildings, locations, and the warehouse.
Unpack, check in, and test (if applicable) product before each shoot.
Save/organize paperwork/empty boxes, alert Producers of any issues with product, and note quantity received on sample tracker.
Ensure all merchandise and props are returned with proper labeling and wrapping, alerting any issues immediately to the shoot's Producer.
Studio/Facility Upkeep
Maintain, organize and update/document: prop cage, surfaces, sample inventory kept in studios, and studio crafty.
Assemble and set out breakfast daily.
Keep crafty table clean, organized, and stocked for the beginning and end of each day, alerting Producer for any needed supplies.
Unload/load dishwasher and bring in/set out trash bins daily for studio.
Studio/Location Needs
Needs to be in Richmond location by 8:00am start time daily.
Help construct and maintain various set and surface rigs on-set.
Assemble furniture pieces for photoshoot.
Remain attentive and proactive to anticipate the needs of the photo crew on set.
Drive 15' and 20' truck, and sprinter van (both require no special license).
Vehicle upkeep: keep clean, keep insurance binders on hand, park in designated area at studio and notify Producers when they need maintenance.
Travel occasionally with photo teams for photoshoot on location.
Unload and reload trucks with merchandise.
Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor with the photo team, merchants, vendors, and homeowners.
Required Competencies
Ownership attitude - you're happy to jump up to help anyone, finding samples quickly and rapidly change out sets, thinking on the spot for quick yet effective solutions in high pressure time constraints.

Job Summary

Typical work week is Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm with occasional overtime as needed. Work consists of picking fence orders, operating CNC router to fabricate vinyl fence, light carpentry, heavy lifting, and forklift driving. Pay starts at $16/hr.
Job Responsibilities:
Moving incoming or outgoing materials throughout the shop and/or yard areas
Identify, separate, label and store material supplies as directed
Use safe and secure practices when cutting fencing materials
Load outgoing materials each day and verify that all orders are accurate
Meet safety, productivity and quality standards set by Superior Fence & Rail
Responsible for pulling and processing orders in the appropriate allotted time
Help to ensure that the yard/work areas are maintained, clean and organized
Operate the CNC router to fabricate vinyl fence
Perform other duties as assigned.

**Position Summary**
The Manufacturing Specialist I is an entry-level full time position that performs a variety of basic duties within our manufacturing facility. * Supports an accident-free work culture. When developing, or modifying production processes, assists in accident prevention and risk identification. Collaborates with HR/Safety Manager to minimize risk exposure from ingredient, equipment, or ergonomics
**Minimum Physical Requirements:**
