The Gun Production Specialist is responsible for inspecting and hand-working raw firearm components in a manufacturing environment. What You Will Do

Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Accurately count and perform basic math functions, including mental calculation of simple equations and/or fractions.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Under general direction, this position is responsible for sign assembly and production including preparing substrates and using the proper machines and techniques to construct products. Additionally this position will also perform on-site installation of signage and large format graphics. This includes a variety of flat panel substrates, post & panel projects and application of pressure sensitive vinyl. Position will work both individually, as well as with a team in production and installation. The position will also be responsible
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate and maintain the laser, zund (digital router) and other machines
Consult with sales staff to provide accurate estimates of labor time and to set realistic deadlines.
Maintain strong lines of communication with sales staff and promptly answer messages/questions. Accurately relay project details to sales staff and customers.
Might be required to perform advance site visits, obtaining and relaying necessary Information to design and sales.
Assist with general sign production duties as needed including finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, mounting or forming.
Perform fabrication activities including cabinet formation, cleaning, painting, and assembly.
Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.
Help unload and put away material shipments.
Operate and maintain our laser engraver.
Manage you own work flow and stay on top of jobs to ensure job gets completed on time.
Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance functions to ensure the smooth running of fabrication machinery.
Support the rest of production when time allows.
Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to maintain high levels of productivity.
Clean and maintain storage areas
Assist in packaging and loading products for delivery or install.
Participate in improvement initiatives by suggesting changes and enhancements.
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of safe operation of power tools, general construction tools/methods, ability to measure, level, and cut straight lines.
Good math and spelling skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Enthusiasm for completing HIGH QUALITY projects efficiently.
Detail Oriented
Valid State of Texas Driver's License
Efficient at problem solving and creatively come up with solutions.
Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
Ability to use light power equipment
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand/kneel for long periods of time.
Ability to lift 75 or more pounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate molding press/equipment per Company procedures.
Review “Operator Display Board” prior to running production for work instructions and Quality Alerts.
Assure product meets established quality criteria of zero non-conformances.
Correctly record scrap every hour per work instructions.
Correct application of all internal and external labels when required, including removal of all old labels from returnable packaging.
Correct application of lot control numbers.
Daily review all applicable quality alerts.
Immediately notify Supervisor of all discrepancies to established quality checks (ie, sample boards, inspection instructions, SPC, etc.).
Communicate production and quality issues/concerns with associates during communication meetings.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Participate in team problem solving activities (ie, 8D's, communication meetings, etc).
Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
Adherence to all company policies and procedures (ie, Quality Manual, Associate Handbook, etc).
