A production Coordinator coordinates and provides the training, tools and materials to meet schedule customer demand for a production area(s) of responsibility. All of this must be done within the prescribed policies and procedures of the company. SHIFT: Sunday through Tuesday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Overtime every other Saturday as needed. ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Coordinates with Supervisor in assigning work to meet on time production and quality goals. This includes but not limited to staging, trailer availability, staffing, etc. Controls the workflow within the area of responsibility to meet efficiency targets, minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Requires the ability to train people and serve as a coach to Team Members. Perform On-the-job training and line and production orientation for new hires. Records accurate data on production, labor, team members, and scrap on a timely basis. Follows up with team members on accurate production reporting. Completes shift paperwork. Ensures accuracy of inventory and inventory management. Required to ensure all purchased and manufactured material are available when needed to meet production goals. Works with Maintenance, and Manufacturing personnel to provide information on matters relative to machine downtime. Ensures safety best practices are followed by Team Members at all times. Ensure all quality standard for the production area are being met. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, have the ability to articulate ideas, and point out areas where improvement is needed, as well as the ability to develop a positive relationship with employees in order to develop credibility. Must be results-oriented and have the ability to motivate others. Required to fill in for Department Supervisor in their absence. Required to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
