Key responsibilities include confirming material availability, coordinating material deliveries in alignment with the planned schedule, ensuring CM compliance with schedule, managing paperwork flow, and monitoring performance across our CM network. Cross-departmental collaboration with Demand Planning, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and NPD/ECO is vital to the success of this role. Responsibilities: Drive production planning and coordination with multiple contract manufacturers to meet established demand and inventory plans. Plan production to match demand. Plan flavor blends to match canning and bottling needs. Plan filling operations for each WIP flavor to ensure WIP availability for conversion into finished variety packs. Create and update production orders for placement and execution in the production schedule. Maintain transparency of the production schedule with all internal and external stakeholders. Track WIP products and re-pack schedules for variety packs Compile production preparation packets for all production orders. Formula confirmation Pallet configuration Mockups Any details required for efficient canning operations (line capacity, efficient run order, etc.) Compile production completion packets during and after the production run for each production order. Performs all duties assigned within the mogul section, including the loading and unloading of trucks into the mogul or dryroom, the loading of starch into the mogul, the manipulation of pump bars, and the catching and loading of candy trays. Duties may run concurrent when production runs are 4 hours or less, except when running candy corn and Dutch mints. Performs the safe operation of a manual or powered pallet jack, also may be required to operate power lift equipment including specialized (narrow-aisle) equipment. SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS: Production Technician I will support the production department by assisting the senior-level technicians. Duties include learning Toray's quality standard by understanding how to check for defects and hourly checks of the machine. Entry technicians will review the quality process and find quality issues with oversight from senior technicians. Additionally, the technician will package rolls and retrieve required items for production. As time progresses, the Production Technician I should be able to follow detailed instructions and work under close supervision to complete allocated tasks. Tasks would include setting up the machine with full oversight, being able to prioritize routine tasks to improve efficiency, and troubleshooting minor production-related issues. Additionally, the technician should be able to follow procedures which include the use of personal protection equipment.
