This position will oversee productivity, quality expectations, and assure production schedules are met.
ESSENTIAL/MAJOR ELEMENTS OF POSITION
Supervises coiling, spring cutting, welding and assembly operations by following established procedures and approved supervisory processes.
Reviews production schedules, Engineering specifications, orders and related information which will dictate the manufacturing methods, procedures and activities to be employed.
Ensures that machine operators are operating equipment safely as well as meeting quality control and reliability standards.
Administers and executes policies, procedures and practices that affect employees supervised.
Occasionally, the incumbent will be asked and expected to perform various, miscellaneous and non-standard duties as required. Such duties are diversified in nature and may be changed from time to time to suit the needs of the company.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Necessary to Successfully Perform this Position:
Motivational and team building skills.
Knowledge of functions and limitations of cutting and welding operations
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tool designs.
Knowledge of automated equipment, encompassing tool nomenclature and uses, material composition understanding, comprehension of basic function of fixtures and familiarity with inspecting and checking methods.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to problem solve independently or as part of a team.
Good interpersonal skills
Understanding of Lean manufacturing practices.
Education Level Desired:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Prior Experience Level Desired:
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive and relevant supervision experience in a related field such as manufacturing, medical devices, industrial, aerospace, and automotive.
Minimum of seven (7) years of manufacturing processes experience with semi-automated and/or fully automated processing equipment is preferred.
Strong leadership experience in diverse manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Operations
• Clean case exteriors to remove debris before opening and staging raw materials.
• Prepare raw product for processing by opening cases, placing ingredients onto conveyors, and supporting continuous material flow.
• Pour or dump raw product safely while preventing spills, floor waste, and cross-contamination.
• Visually inspect raw materials during handling and report abnormalities such as damaged packaging, moisture, or foreign material.
• Communicate material needs or product flow issues to machine operators and supervisors.
Quality & Food Safety Inspection
• Inspect raw and finished product continuously to identify foreign material, quality defects, damaged packaging, or allergen concerns.
• Monitor product at pre-chop and post-chop inspection points and stop the line when contamination or hazards are detected.
• Inspect finished product bags for proper seals, spacing, correct weights, and visible product quality.
• Remove defective, contaminated, or improperly sealed bags and follow rework or disposal protocols.
• Follow GMPs, allergen controls, PPE requirements, handwashing procedures, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
Documentation & Paperwork
• Complete required production paperwork accurately and on time, including Inbound Lot Tracking Forms, Production Logs, Downtime Logs, Rework Tracking Forms, and Film/Bag/Starch Lot Tracking Forms.
• Record pallet movements, quantities, license plates, lot numbers, and raw material usage.
• Verify FIFO and allergen compatibility for each material used and document exceptions as needed.
• Communicate discrepancies in counts, waste, or production activity to supervisors.
Packaging & Case Packing
• Hand-pack finished bags into cases in the correct quantities based on specifications.
• Fold and insert liners, close cases, and feed them through tape machines while confirming seals and code dates.
• Reject damaged or contaminated packaging and ensure only acceptable cases proceed to finished goods.
• Assist automated packaging operations and hand-pack overflow product as required.
Recycling & Waste Handling
• Break down cardboard, load it into recycling conveyors, and assist in operating the cardboard baler when needed.
• Sort waste according to established protocols (floor waste, plastic, starch waste, trash).
• Maintain a clean and safe work area throughout the shift, including sweeping, waste removal, and pallet organization.
• Inspect pallets and separate good pallets from damaged ones, removing splintered or unsafe boards per procedure.
Housekeeping & Production Support
• Assist with production-down and cleanup procedures, including staging equipment, collecting waste, sweeping floors, and preparing tools for sanitation.
• Ensure the production area is cleared of product, packaging, debris, and equipment at shift end.
• Immediately report any equipment issues, damaged packaging, product abnormalities, or foreign materials to Supervisors and QA.
Safety & Compliance
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE usage, safe lifting, material handling, and working around conveyors and moving equipment.
• Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to supervision.
• Adhere to all GMPs, allergen protocols, company policies, and food safety requirements.
• Employees must follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and work in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company standards.

The Manufacturing Production Operator is responsible for inspection of advanced products and operation of semiconductor backend equipment (Wirebonders, including wedge and ball, Automated die attach equipment). Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Read, understand and follow processing instructions for assembly processes.
Possess the dexterity necessary to perform manual and automated assembly processes.
Control and operate computerized microelectronic assembly equipment.
Handling of silicon wafers and other materials with considerable care.
Experience with Semiconductor backend equipment (Wirebonders, including wedge and ball, and Automated die attach equipment) or demonstrate a high degree of aptitude and capability to meet or exceed the learning curve (Typically 60 days).
Operate high precision metrology and inspection microscopes and disposition materials with details regarding accept/reject status.
Must be able to use a microscope for extended periods of time.
Communicate effectively with co-workers (both written and verbal).
Maintain cleanroom etiquette and equipment cleanliness.
Work in a dynamic environment with a sense of urgency without sacrificing safety or quality

Required Experience:
Must have one year of previous production/manufacturing or inspection experience.

Must be willing to adhere to department safety rules and regulations. May be exposed to noise (required to wear protective gear). May be exposed to Hazardous Materials & Chemicals (required to wear safety glasses and other protective gear).
Physical Requirements:
Steady hands
Good hand/eye coordination
Ability to work in a clean work environment.
Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
Preferred Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Training Required:
On the job training as appropriate.

Pay is $18.25 - $ 18.75 per hour plus 10% shift differential and applicable bonus and is commensurate with experience.
