Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred).
Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong knowledge of production planning, lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices.
Good understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and safety compliance standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
To set up and operate slitting machines according to the appropriate “machine operator's manual” under direction of the Group Leader.
Carry and supply materials to the machines.
Remove the finished product from the machine. Supplies and finished goods of up to 38 lbs. must be lifted about 75 times per shift. (Maximum weight to be lifted is 50lbs.)
Group Leaders will determine the machine each operator is assigned to. Operators will be cross trained to operate different machines.
Recommend productivity improvement plans and cost reduction plans (Total Productive Maintenance activity). Investigate and analyze causes of target frustration.
Help train other machine operators.
Facilitate internal communication and working relationships within areas of responsibility.
