Job Description Meridian Specialty Yarn Group, Inc. Valdese is seeking winder operators for our third shift. The hours are 12:00am-8:00am Monday- Friday. Manufacturing experience preferred but not required. Training is provided. Must be able to train on first for 4-6 weeks, then move to the third shift. Day (6am-6pm) and Night (6pm-6am) shift openings, guaranteed 48 hours per week- hiring multiple candidates! This position is located at Profiles Conover, NC manufacturing plant and reports to the production supervisor. As a bagger operator on the production line, you will rotate positions with your teammates throughout your shift. This will include operating the bagger machine, monitoring finished goods for imperfections in packaging, removing defective bags form the line, cutting bags for reprocessing, hand stacking pallets of 50-pound bags if needed, operating a forklift (once trained and certified) and housekeeping duties as needed. Duties and Responsibilities: Operate bagger safely and efficiently Maintain preset production goals. Remove out-of-spec bags and hand stack for reprocessing. Cut open rejected bales for reprocessing Operate forklift to load and store bags. Perform general housekeeping duties. Perform additional duties as required.
