What You'll Do: The Production Continuous Improvement Intern will have the opportunity to participate in training and projects within various production and production support departments. They will participate in our manufacturing processes - on and off the assembly line. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary. Audits work instructions and maintain current production processes Promotes and supports Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in the facility Collects data on assembly processes and cycle times Learns and applies Lean/6 Sigma techniques to steer improvements to quality, cost, and delivery Researches and analyzes equipment operations to improve efficiency Assists with inventory preparations Recognizes improvement opportunities Contributes to safety, quality, and operational performance by joining existing teams and other tasks as assigned Helps improve our material delivery systems and management through developing flow racks and kanban systems for production departments.
