Activities would include:
Minimum 1-3 years industrial experience
Operate heavy equipment including: extensive forklift experience a MUST
Experience in loading/unloading and packaging of product
Work around rotating/moving equipment while packaging
Manually handles various materials.
Regularly work at heights including off the top of ladders and the top of railcars and bulk truck trailers.
Routinely climb ladders and stairs to perform various tasks.
Familiarity with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
Be able to respond quickly to identify and correct quality issues.

All internships are UNPAID.
Students who must earn academic credit to participate will receive priority consideration for positions in the cohort. Students are expected to obtain and complete any forms necessary to receive credit for the internship experience.
The intern's college/university academic advisor (and institution guidelines) determines the amount of credit available (and subsequently, the amount of time an intern will be available weekly). The station intern supervisor will consider each intern's availability to establish a work schedule that provides an enriching experience.
The intern is responsible for their transportation.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Support and maintain the plant safety program through day-to-day safety contacts with employees and department safety meetings, ensure assigned work areas are safe and safety requirements are observed.
**WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH**
+ Maintain continual observation of operation of all the various processes through recordings and indications of the control system, monitors and visual observation when necessary.
+ Supervise process and hourly employees and work closely with lab technicians.
+ Ensure that quality and environmental ISO standards are met.
+ Assure that a consistent, quality product is being produced through interaction with the quality control department and through the review of laboratory test results on clinker and cement.

Arrive 15 min before the shift starts engaged and on the lines.
Monitor hits on line 1-4 to ensure daily hits are completed before tech starts daily SOS.
Ensure that the lighting system on each station is being used properly and issues are being resolved as quickly as possible as lights are being turned on.
Recognize assembly issues that need to be resolved and create documents per model to track progress.
All emails are answered before leaving each day, if you cannot provide answers to your emails, provide follow-up as quickly as possible.
Provide red tag support for the line and management with accurate data.
Manage station sweeps with techs at all rotations to make sure this is performed properly with accurate data.
Provide end-of-day cleanup support in each station and instruct techs what and how to organize their station for major items that need attention.
Show leadership as senior technician including coaching, mentorship, training, and being a good example of what good looks like for Velocity.
Velocity polos/proper branded uniform worn at all times.
Provide clear communication between engineers, managers and directors on any process changes and the changes have been approved before proceeding with production
Offer guidance to hit list and Test and Tune techs on repairs or upgrades

Govern the Business Central ERP in-yard-dates provided from purchase orders to audit delinquencies and ensure the dates are updated and accurate from the vendors/suppliers.
Review the rolling 12 weeks plan to resolve material shortages with supply chain, and partners to ensure a successful baseline plan execution. Highlight items for expedition and act, empowered to reach out to external partners/suppliers if necessary
Auditing that material 2 weeks prior to planned production start is physically onsite and ready for production call off, resolving any conflicts
Work with planners and production to see if a work package with partial unavailable material can be started, with material expedited or needs to be moved
After exhausting all mitigations to resolve, engage directly with the Master Scheduler to provide forecast dates for work packages with material issues that cannot be resolved to support the baseline plan, allowing any potential schedule adjustments.
