PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Various Production line duties on production line(s) may include manual handling of product, visual quality inspection of product and/or packaging, following Good Manufacturing Practices, housekeeping, adhering to acceptable safety practices, following supervisory instructions, may be scheduled on different lines as per production needs, other duties as assigned, etc. Includes cupping and packaging duties in a conveyor belt setting which involves repetitive motion of hand, arm and shoulders and standing all shift. This position is located on-site in Layton, Utah.
Join our team as a Production Technician and put your skills to work in a dynamic, hands-on manufacturing environment. You'll perform a variety of processes-composite fabrication, resin infusion, assembly, mill operations, metrology, oven processing, and waterjet cutting-while applying your NDI Level II expertise to set up and calibrate inspection equipment, interpret results, and ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and specifications. The following essential job functions are performed as a Production Technician:
Reads, interprets, and follows pass downs, work orders, isometric drawings, blueprints, work instructions and other technical and non-technical documents
Assemble and fit aircraft structural parts and subassemblies
Perform test fit and gap checks with high tolerances
Performs countersinking activities
Perform structural adhesive bonding preparation per product specifications and compliance programs
Align, fit, assemble, connect, or install system components, using jigs, fixtures, measuring instruments, hand tools, or power tools
Adjust, repair, rework, or replace parts and assemblies
Layout and mark reference points
Keeps work orders stamped, dated and organized
Vacuum bagging in order to prepare parts for drop tests, de-bulking fabric, and infusion
Performs tabbing operations to work order specifications
General sanding and finish work using grinders and sandpaper as needed
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly, FOD free condition
Packages and crates parts for shipment, including shrink wrapping
Has knowledge of and ability to use common hand tools for assembly components per verbal, written, and drawing requirements
Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· The ProductionAssociate operates various machines and performs tasks related to the production of airbags, inflators, or component parts.
· Performs repetitive work requiring continuous alertness and attention to detail. Associates ensure that a high-quality product is produced.
· Makes suggestions to improve performance, quality, and/or costs in work area by applying Autoliv Production System (APS) principles.
· Monitors machines and verifies that parts meet specifications by using hand gauge measurements and/or visual inspection.
· Promotes quality and safety rules while maintaining work area in a clean and orderly condition.
· Trains and/or instructs others as required.
· Maintains reliable attendance and a full-time work status.
· Adheres to safety standards.
· Relieves other employees for breaks, as needed.
· Must be able to stand for 8 hours, and lift 25-50 lbs.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Shift Hours: 9:45 pm - 6:00 am
· Grave Shift (M-F with mandatory overtime) or Grave Shift Rotating (7 days on, 2-4 days off) available

Educational background in light industrial trades and/or in a post-secondary vocational program is a plus.
