Qualifications · Some manufacturing experience preferred with food manufacturing desirable · Strong work ethic and organizational skills · Able to perform basic troubleshooting functions · Able to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment · Able to work on feet for extended periods of time · Reliable mode of transportation · Must be able to follow written procedures. · Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and follow instructions. · Basic math knowledge. · Participate and recommend solutions to common quality & food safety issues. · Take action to continuously improve his/her process targets. · Adhere/ follow the food safety programs in the department including GMPs. · Proficient reading, writing, and verbal communication skills. · Bilingual in English/Spanish is desirable. Competencies/ Skills · Team-oriented · Adaptability · Attention to detail · Mechanically Inclined · Work in a fast paced environment Supervisory Responsibility No supervisory responsibility Work Environment While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee could be exposed to hot and cold temperatures, moving regularly, and standing for hours at a time. Strong food odors from fresh cut produce could also be present. If work is in a refrigerated environment temperatures could be 38 F to 45 F. Proper insulated protective gear is provided. Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn in the production area, loud noisy machinery and equipment is typical.
