Scope:
This position is responsible to prep and manually apply coatings to printed circuit boards. Must be able to use a spray booth to coat. Applicant must be able to handle a fast paced environment with a high volume workload.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare boards for conformal coat by cleaning items and surfaces to be finished. Mask connectors and other objects on the board.
Work with hand, pneumatic and electric hand tools.
Mix chemicals according to manufacturer's specifications.
Apply epoxy and conformal coatings using dispensing equipment.
Visually check work in process for defects and makes adjustments as required.
Comprehend and follow instructions, read and understand blueprints.
Communicate regularly to supervisor/managers.
Work effectively and responsibly with others.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
Works effectively and responsibly with others.
All other assigned duties as required within the production organization.

Summary: The Production Operator is tasked with operating John M. Dean Co. process equipment to enable the forming of raw wire into a finished product for our customers. This equipment includes (but is not limited to) straightening and cutting machinery, grinding equipment, mechanical presses, final cut machines, bending fixtures, heat treating furnaces and tempering ovens, barrel tumblers (wet and dry process), sorting fixtures, assembly fixtures, hand trucks, media separators, hoists, and other equipment to support the flow of product through the metal finishing process. Additionally, a variety of hand tools may be used during a normal shift, such as transfer shovels, brooms, pick tools, screwdrivers, wrenches, and other miscellaneous tools to support the uptime of machinery, and to promote a clean working environment.
Job functions include:
Read and understand job routers/travelers and instructions for the purpose of completing jobs.
Operate various equipment such as listed above in the summary.
Use material handling equipment such as hand trucks and media trucks to move product within the facility.
Perform preventive maintenance for manufacturing equipment and facilities related equipment. This includes:
Lubricating gearboxes, bearings, and pinion gear sets periodically.
Cleaning of dust/debris from the equipment and work area daily.
Visual inspection of equipment prior to and during operation.
Monitor operation of equipment and make recommendations for reactive maintenance to the Production Manager.
Utilize measurement equipment such as micrometer, caliper, and 6" scale.
Ensuring all product is manufactured per the documented requirements.
Requirements:
1+ year(s) experience in a manufacturing environment as an equipment operator or other mechanical discipline.
Previous machining experience is not required but is preferred.
Ability to read and understand/interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and customer related documents such as instructions on job routers, prints, production records, and customer prints.
Must be able to use a caliper, micrometer, optical comparator, protractor, and other necessary inspection tools (Metric and Standard/SAE).
Must read, write, and comprehend English as a primary language.
Must be able to count, add, subtract, multiply, divide, and perform other basic math skills.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, loud sustained noise, vibration, and pressurized systems. PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.) are provided.
Physical Demands: Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds unassisted, 80 pounds assisted. What You'll Do:
As a Production Technician at Curaleaf, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality cannabis products by supporting every stage of the packaging process. In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you will:
Stage products and packaging materials across production lines while performing quality assurance checks to meet daily schedules and Curaleaf's high standards
Boost operational efficiency and minimize waste by taking ownership, collaborating with the team, and communicating effectively
Conduct in-process and final quality checks, including testing, visual inspections, and precise weighing, while maintaining 100% compliance in data recording, product tracking, and secure packaging
Work quickly and efficiently to boost productivity while keeping the extraction room organized, clean, and inspection-ready
Operate efficiently while following OSHA standards, Curaleaf SOPs, and all required procedures, ensuring every product is accurately labeled and fully compliant with state regulations
What You'll Bring:
You are eager to learn and can be trained on various production equipment and SOPs while consistently meeting performance expectations set by leadership
You bring strong attention to detail and effective communication skills, thriving in a fast-paced, team-based production environment
You can comfortably perform repetitive tasks with focus and consistency over extended periods
You have a strong work ethic, are punctual and reliable, and help maintain a positive, professional team environment
You have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Even Better If:
You have at least one year of manufacturing or packaging experience focused on product safety, consumer satisfaction, and delivering high-quality results
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time (8-10 hours per shift)
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance
Frequent and repetitive use of hands and wrists for extended periods of time
Repetitive bending, squatting, and reaching
Ability to climb ladders or step stools to access plants or equipment
Ability to use required PPE when required, such as masks, hair nets, beard covers, respirators, boot covers, scrubs, non-slip shoes, and Tyvek suits as necessary
Environmental Conditions
Exposure to environments with high humidity, varying temperatures, and strong odors (such as cannabis)
Exposure to soil, water, fertilizer, dust, pollen and plant pathogens
Exposure to cleaning solvents, such as high volumes of isopropyl alcohol
Exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to air compressors, packaging equipment, and alarms
Exposure to CO2 manufacturing procedures at OSHA approved CO2 levels
