Education and Experience:
3+ years of apparel production professional work experience in a SKU intensive environment, required

Summary
The molding and trimming operator is responsible for maintaining production, quality performance levels, and the efficient use of manufacturing equipment in accordance with his/her knowledge and training in conformance with established Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to elements including environmental heat and high heat from moving mechanical parts, small parts may be encountered on the floor, and dust particles may float in the air. Work is done in both office space and in the plant where safety is a critical concern. PPE must be worn.

The trimming operators must stand for prolonged periods of time and frequently walk up and down stairs. Must lift up to 35 lbs, carry, push, and pull up to 10 lbs and gripping of 20 lbs. Operators will also climb to retrieve rubber sheets and clean in high areas above machinery. Operators will experience substantial movements (motions) of arms, hands, wrists, and/or fingers. Operators must pass a vison test (with or without corrective lenses) as all work involves sharpness of different types as well as depth perception, color and field. The operator must have a variety of eye and hand range, i.e. use of scales, color template, labels, read dials or controls, movement of material, etc. Must wear proper personal protective equipment to include but not limited to gloves, hair net, beard cover, safety glasses, gowning, etc.

About the role
The Production Operator is involved with the successful daily operation of the facility on a 7-day a week rotating shift basis. This requires attention to detail, good record keeping and the safe and efficient operation of equipment. This position is responsible for production and deliveries of refined vegetable oil, managing and adhering to the site's production and shipping schedule. This position is also responsible for sanitation, inspection, lubrication and basic repairs of assigned production equipment.
Responsibilities
After training you will be expected to have the ability to operate all stations within the production department including: - Deodorization, Hydrogenation, Intresterification, Bleaching, Blending and the loading and offloading of tank wagons and railcars, completing all required documentation and oil analysis.
Production and sanitation quotas dictated by the production schedule, the shipping schedule, operator routines, and the Shift Leader are expected to be met consistently while ensuring compliance to all safety and quality requirements
Perform cleaning, inspection, lubrication and basic repair activities of assigned production equipment on a routine basis
Perform housekeeping support to refinery and roads and grounds
Actively and enthusiastically participate in continuous improvement initiatives for the site.
Must complete all training requested of you.
Assist other refinery operators in tasks requiring additional manpower.
Assist maintenance employees with their tasks as able and as requested.
Use the forklift and other company tools and equipment in proper and safe method.
Communicate effectively with the shift supervisor on issues and problems that may occur.

Use the computerized work order system and put in work orders for the shift supervisor to evaluate.

Support goal of minimum part sparing consistent with production goals and local vendor support services.

Lead the safety effort by personal example.
Support full department compliance with safety rules to further our goal of 0 accidents and encouragement of reporting near misses.
Support 0 contractor accidents during major construction or anytime maintenance contractors are on site.
Identify high-risk safety/ productivity issues and help remedy them.
