Glass industry experience a plus. What You Will Be Doing: As a Production Associate, you will be responsible for cutting, tempering, fabricating, insulating, laminating and/or warehousing glass. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned): Handling and moving glass from tables, furnace, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wooden crates for 8-10 hours daily. Transporting glass or other materials from one position/location to another in an effort to expedite the production process. Strapping glass to carts and or trucks so they are safe for moving. Following work instructions by reading labels to expedite the production process; understand and communicate paperwork and labels/picking list. Inspecting product for any abnormalities, cracks, chips, etc. and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues. Performs other duties as assigned. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Daily inspections - Look for any unsafe objects, check equipment, etc. Skills You Bring: MINIMUM SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS include the following: The ability to lift 75 lbs. by yourself, 150 in tandem. The ability to accurately read a tape measure. The ability to stand for long periods of time. The ability to communicate, and to work as part of a team. The ability to work in high heat manufacturing facility. Working knowledge of plant operations, computers, hoists, and lifts preferred. Glass industry experience is a plus. Roles & Responsibilities: · Operates forklift equipment (gas or electric) to load/unload, pick, replenish, stack, move and store product. · Follows and adheres to all shipping/receiving · Efficiently and accurately locate and place products in the appropriate locations and/or storage area · Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner. · Maintains a clean, neat and orderly work area · Pull orders accurately as assigned · Stage orders according to carrier location and verify: number of pallets picked as well as stage location · Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process · Be aware of and follow location and work centre Safety policies and procedures · Performs housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned · May operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery · Sub-assembles auto parts using hand tools · Operates production line equipment · Meets quality standards and maintains quotas · Performs quality checks during and after assembly · Moves product from one area to another using hand carts and dollies · Resets alarms and make minor machine adjustments Qualifications Qualifications: · Able to arrive to work consistently and on time · Able to work with a team, read and understand instructions, and listen and follow instructions · lift up to 50 pounds, stand on concrete for extended periods of time. · withstand temperatures of up to 100 degrees.
