Job Functions
In conjunction with the live action unit, participate in the setup and running of in-camera visual effects; operate scene playback, fine tune color and lighting, trigger events, and advise on environment usage during LED volume shoots. Prep environments, pre-comps, and associated data for optimized real-time performance; participate in multi-disciplinary team reviews for work under development. Match look and placement of digital environments, characters and set dressing to real world counterparts. Troubleshoot creative and technical issues. Troubleshoot routine issues with virtual production systems and platforms; participates in the setup, upkeep, calibration and/or maintenance of virtual production equipment. Identify technology needs and coordinate with the development team to implement them effectively. Work closely with VFX, IT, Production Technology, and other leads/supervisors to help engineer solutions (tools and workflow) for pipeline enhancements and fixes; develop tools to streamline workflows. Advise on pre-shoot prep and set data to be wrangled. Support a variety of members on the team, through process explanations, hands-on training, and documentation.
Qualifications
3-5 years' VFX production / CG pipeline experience (preferably as a Generalist, Layout Artist, Lighting TD, Compositor, or Pipeline Engineer). 1-2+ years' experience with Unreal, real-time Virtual Production, and a film stage environment. Understanding the full capabilities of Unreal Engine for the creation of cinematic sequences, high-end assets, and extensive landscape environments (terrain sculpting, manual layout placement, procedural scattering, lighting); experience building with Blueprint and Sequencer. Basic understanding of plate and image-based lighting, as well as full CG lighting, preferred. Proficient Look Development, R&D, and Lighting skills from both an artistic and technical perspective. Strong aesthetic sense and keen eye for detail, with a technical understanding of color space. Ability to take direction and implement feedback with a productive attitude; strong diplomatic communication, organizational, and time management skills to balance priorities under the pressure of a deadline-driven live-action production. A strong understanding of production processes and artist workflows within film and television visual effects pipelines. A strong understanding of on-set capture workflows within film and television production. Creative technical problem solver that must be able to execute technically difficult work and ability to improvise solutions in pressure situations.

This position leads Hourly employees within area of responsibility with frequent daily technical and engineering guidance from a senior Supervisor Production or Unit Manager. Responsible for facilitating the implementation of teaming and plant modernization activities at the shop floor level.
This is a 2nd Shift position.
The Supervisor Production Level I directs and organizes the activities of five (5) to thirty (30) Hourly employees to assure that production, engineering and quality requirements are met within utilization, efficiency, cost and schedule.
Hourly employees reporting to the Supervisor Production Level I are engaged in manufacturing activities including, but not limited to: broadly defined, team-oriented assembly and machining practices, cross-training, material control and various related shop activities.
These include machining and assembly of components and sub-assemblies; sheet metal forming and fabrication; cutting, grinding, brazing or welding operations; fabrication of structural steel components and manifolding; chemical and heat processing and painting; mechanical and electrical/electronic assembly, or basic support activities including, but not limited to, the requisition, shipping/receiving, storage, distribution and inventory control of raw materials, components, sub-assemblies, factory supplies, tooling equipment and spare parts; the assurance of high quality production and vendor supplied components and assemblies; and inspection/calibration of products, tools, gages and test equipment; the installation, repair, modification and maintenance of all production test equipment, buildings, grounds utilities and other facilities.
The incumbent operates in an environment requiring administration of an established plan to improve quality production schedule and capacity utilization. Leads a team of employees to meet Certified Assembly Manufacturing standards. Functions as a coach to educate employees and facilitate team contributions. Incumbent monitors progress and changes to production schedule with close coordination by Unit Management as well as daily guidance from Unit technical or engineering personnel. The primary function of the incumbent is to perform administrative duties to continuously improve manufacturing activities and meet established goals for immediate area of responsibility. Position requires effective organization and coordination of employee teams and available capacity. The incumbent leads a team that identifies production problems related to employee assignments, materials, facilities, supplies, schedule, quality control, repair and maintenance, or planning and instructions; and prevents or corrects production scrap, delays, or interruptions which may impact Unit schedules. Subject to direction and review by Unit Manager, incumbent assigns work, administers Company Standards of Employee Conduct and Attendance and Company-Union Agreements.
A principal challenge for this position is the need for problem and conflict resolution is an environment where time and performance constraints require effective rapport and communications with employees. Any decisions which impact planned scheduled, cost and/or production configuration are referred to Unit Manager. Human Resources decisions are made with close limits of supervisory review.
Incumbent's actions are clearly guided by established production schedules, planning and procedures as well as close daily direction from verbal or written instructions and review.
Consistent with area goals and established level of supervisory review, the incumbent maintains daily working contacts within the incumbent's assigned area.
Incumbent must have basic training or equivalent experience in the area of planning, organizing and directing Hourly employees, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Requires strong communication and human relations skills and the demonstrated ability to instruct, train and motivate Hourly employees in a manufacturing environment.
