Summary:

The production technician performs production processes to fulfill the service needs of individual restoration projects and maintains the professional appearance of SERVPRO equipment as well as an assigned service vehicle. By providing quality, consistent, efficient work, the production technician represents the best in the cleanup and restoration industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Inventory and load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed for each project. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and clean equipment appearance.
2. Prepare rooms/areas for work activities. Set up staging area and equipment for each project.
3. Perform production processes as directed.
4. Adhere to safety and risk management guidelines at all times.
5. Communicate with crew chief and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
6. Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown. Leave jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance.

Secondary Responsibilities :

1. Maintain an organized warehouse space. Clean and maintain the warehouse, office, and grounds, as assigned.
2. Develop production expertise in services, cleaning products, and equipment.
3. Other tasks/duties as required by employer.

Necessary Experience and Skill Set :

• Strong work ethic.
• Strong oral communication skills.
• Experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction preferred.

Formal Education/Training:

• High school diploma/GED
• IICRC certifications preferred

Physical and Work Environment Requirements :

Regularly lifting 50 pounds independently, occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance, walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, climbing ladders, working at ceiling heights, working in tight spaces (i.e. crawl spaces, attics), repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects, working with and around chemicals, and working overhead.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions such as heat, noxious odors, etc. The noise level in the work environment and jobsites may be loud. The employee will be required to occasionally wear a respirator for their safety.

Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours, and Travel Requirements:

This is a full-time position working 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. This position frequently requires long hours (beyond 8 hours a day), including some evening and weekend work. Travel is required and is primarily local. However, some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

To perform a variety of routine tasks, manual in scope, highly repetitive, both machine paced and non-machine paced, that are required with the movement of products through manufacturing and/or processing operations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Standing and/or walking 100%, sitting 0%.
* Stand in/at assigned work station, turn repetitively to/from pallet boxes, powered feed conveyors, or other in-process product supply sources, continually reaching, grasping, transporting, guiding, placing, releasing candles.
* Task activity level generally paced to speed of machinery and/or production line.
* Climb steps to/from work station, where required.
* Pushing, pulling packed cases of products on gravity/powered conveyors, with frequent lifting of filled/sealed cases of packed candles from feed conveyors to/onto palletized unit load, as required.
* Continual mental concentration to insure quality products are packed, rejects are disposed of properly.
* Must be able to stand on a concrete floor for the entire shift; lift 30 pounds without assistance and 75 pounds with assistance; have precise coordinated movements of the fingers of both hands to grasp and manipulate small objects; make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists; have the ability to bend, stoop, stretch, twist.
* Must be able to reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs; have the ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.

* The ability to work any 8 hour shift up to 5 days a week as needed

Our Huntersville location is seeking a 1st shift Production Crew Leader to join our organization. The Crew Leader will be responsible for leading a team of associates to achieve daily goals to include - production, loading, shipping, and general field work throughout the greenhouse. In the absence of the area manager, the Crew Leader may assume full responsibility for assigned area.

• Supervise, direct, and assist crew with production goals
• Conduct daily Crew Leader meetings to provide clear and frequent communication to team members on company policies, procedures, and safety related issues
• Ensure safety policies are followed and make recommendations for improvements
• Resolve any/all crew related issues (ex: attendance, performance, behavioral, etc.) and initiate corrective action as needed
• Train and motivate team members to reach daily production plans and annual company goals
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-year experience in a leadership role
• Minimum 1-year experience in Manufacturing/Warehouse environment
• Strong leadership skills and ability to give/receive constructive feedback
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work and communicate across multiple departments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and seek solutions to problems
• Detailed-oriented with the ability to multitask
• Managing discipline and dealing with conflict
• Must be able to work in various types of weather conditions
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
• Experience in Horticulture/ Agriculture a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and work on feet for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift-up to 30lbs above head unassisted regularly

PAY and BENEFITS:
