Job Description

The Position
The Production Engineer provides technical support to the Production team while facilitating safe and efficient systems of work to meet safety, production and cost targets. The Production Engineer contributes to continual improvement within the production department, including management of change processes to remove barriers and optimise work systems, and improvement to production processes where identified.

Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the implementation and execution of Safety Systems and Procedures.Participate in and provide technical input to Safety and Risk Assessment activities.Demonstrate and encourage operational excellence and discipline within the production team.Manage conflicting priorities while maintaining key stakeholder interests and relationships.Develop and maintain technical components of production documentation, including Standard OperatingProcedures, Operation Manuals and Training Material.Monitor plant performance against Key Performance Indicators. Develop and maintain reports to communicateplant performance against KPIs.Identify deviations from target operating ranges and troubleshoot to root cause.Identify, design and implement effective solutions to address the root cause of chronic deviations.Participate in Management of Change activities to provide technical input and review.Contribute to the development of the Production Plan and Budget and ensure adherence during operation.Contribute to Maintenance Planning and Scheduling activities.Contribute to process interruption and process Incident Investigations.Prepare technical reports to effectively communicate results of investigations, opportunities for improvement and technical observations.Develop and coordinate an ‘in process' and quality assurance laboratory analysis program in consultation with the QA/QC department to effectively monitor and control the production process.

Work Experience / Technical Skill Requirements
Demonstrated experience working in a complex chemical or petrochemical processing environment.Experience developing plant documentation for Operations Personnel e.g., SOPs, Checklists, Training Material.Commissioning experience is desirable.A demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities while maintaining key stakeholder interests and relationships.

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Production Engineer to join our Specialty ingredients G.P., business at our Hopewell, VA location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company, and the Plant Engineering and Operations functions. This position will report to the Sr. Operations Manager, CMC Division.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Identify, develop, and drive or assist in the implementation of continuous improvement solutions for the entire CMC unit value stream with focus on FPQ, optimized operability, increased throughput, elimination of bottlenecks and single point failures.Analyze, develop, and implement systems and processes to drive daily optimized quality and stable operating conditions of the CMC unit.Provide technical expertise and knowledge base transfer to CMC unit Supervisor/Operation Manager and operators.Collaborate to expand and support the implementation of APS throughout CMC department.Develop and standardize metrics for the continuous improvement of the CMC unit.Provide technical expertise in the review and improvement of the CMC unit procedures, WI, forms, and all other documents.Support the improvement of the current training system for CMC operators.Provide technical support for capital projects in CMC unit.Participate and provide technical expertise in CMC unit PHA's.Provide MOC support for the CMC unit.Provide effective technical support during CMC planned shutdowns and restarts.Responsible for technical support in the day-to-day troubleshooting of CMC unit issues.Be a positive contributor to the safety and environmental programs of the Hopewell plant.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering5-10 years' chemical plant manufacturing experience Must be able to handle multiple projects concurrently and work in a team environment.

The following skills sets are preferred by the business unit:
Previous experience in Production OperationsPrevious cGMP batch manufacturing experience Previous experience working within a union environment Hazard Analysis - HAZOP, PHA, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO SystemsExperience in or knowledge of using Lean Six Sigma processes Excellent written and oral communications Proven data analysis and problem-solving skills.Proven planning and organization skills.Proven self-starter with urgency for delivering results.

BAE Systems is seeking an Engineer to join our Systems Acquisition support team of diverse engineers.This position will be located in Mt. Laurel, NJ where Technology and Teamwork come together!The qualified candidate will become part of the AEGIS TECHREP Engineering Support Services contract working with a highly complex radar and computer system critical to the defense of the United States.As part of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our DOD Customer to manage and monitor computing subsystems comprised of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), and Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE).Support will be provided during material receipt, equipment installation, integration and Acceptance testing, pack & ship and subsequent logistics support at final installation locations, usually shipyards.Work location is at the Prime Contractor's facility in South Jersey.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

•Education requirement is a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Systems, IndustrialEngineering or equivalent education + industry / military experience.
•Experience in manufacturing procedures/processes/testing for military systems.
•Proven ability to use all Microsoft Office tools
•Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

•AEGIS Combat System experience
•Manufacturing , test , quality assurance skills and experience in the fields of Aerospace, DOD, Radar, Space, or Defense Electronics.
