The Engine Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the Engine Specialist in disassembling, assembling, tuning and other processes of building high performance engines. They will also manage the engine department budgets, overhead, and capital expenditures. Working with the Monster Jam Global parts department in keeping stock of all engine related parts and supplies. Develops and maintains client relationships and Identifies potential business partners.

Essential Job FunctionsManage the disassembly of out-of-service engines down to bare block for inspection for reuse.Manage engine department budgets, supply needs, and capital spending needs.Oversee the disassembly of cylinder heads, timing gears, and other engine parts with attention to detail. Organize and catalog parts, while keeping track of used parts inventory for machine shop.Manages vendors on parts supply, quality, and R&D parts testing, including necessary travel.Help prep completed engines for dyno testing and oversee the dyno testing of all completed engines. Work with a team by communicating with engine assemblers and parts personnel.Other duties related to the position as assigned by supervisor.

Job RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent GED certificate.Knowledge of GM V8 engine theory and operation required.Engine tear-down and failure experience required.High performance engine experience required.Extensive knowledge of department processes. The Workplace Technologies team is looking for a seasoned Live Event/Studio Production Manager who is passionate in leading a team of production engineers in up-leveling Visa's live event and studio productions. Our team is focused on being a trusted partner in producing highly engaged live events and high-quality studio recordings. We pride ourselves in thinking outside of the box and push the technical boundaries of broadcast and video production.

This candidate is a thought leader, self-motivated, and knows how to lead and execute on any event or studio requests. This candidate will have deep technical knowledge around pro-A/V, video conference technology, live event production, studio production, post-production, and streaming/broadcast. It is essential this candidate understands best practices and always stays ahead of industry trends.

This role will be highly collaborative and responsible for key partnerships with, but not limited to, Exec Admins, Marketing, Comms, IT, Facilities, Construction and Real Estate, and production vendors. This person will be a key driver in designing and implementing new technologies and innovative solutions throughout all of Visa's auditoriums and studios. It's very important for this candidate to inspire people, positive can-do attitude, incredibly organized, tenacity in solving problems, strong team player, and be able to communicate effectively with executives and stakeholders.
Essential Functions

Evangelize live event and studio production services to other business units and establish yourself as a trusted partner

Lead the charge on supporting events and studio recordings and make command decisions on how to resolve problems

Supervise the daily production workload and manage and facilitate the smooth transition of any schedule changes

Ensure accountability and set short-term and long-term objectives and goals

Create reports and KPIs to ensure team is performing at peak efficiency

Use your expertise to get into the technical weeds and do what it takes to get the job done

Design and commission innovative pro-A/V solutions for training rooms, event center auditoriums, and recording studios

Drive A/V scopes and partner with stakeholders, general contractors, IT teams, facilities, vendors, etc. and ensure live event auditoriums and recording studios are properly maintained and refreshed according to A/V life cycle

Ensure all pro-AV solutions work by providing analysis, designs, implementation and support strategies in relation to Visa's network and security policies

Provide stellar customer service and consult with internal clients to discuss, plan, and ensure their event and studio requirements are properly staffed and supported

Manage request tickets and ensure all requests are addressed in a timely manner

Monitor all pro-A/V equipment, perform dry-run tests, and perform preventative maintenance

Lead proof-of-concept (POC) tests and validation on new and emerging pro-A/V technologies

Create, update, and archive all documentation and wikis

Create standard operating procedures (SOP) and service level agreements (SLA)

Design and incorporate pro-AV standards on all hardware and software related to live event and studio productions

Train and mentor other team members

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Responsibilities/Duties

Process Engineering:

Lead and facilitate continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts throughout all departments to achieve company goals.

Complete root cause analysis to understand long-term process improvement needs to address throughput efficiency, quality improvements, safety concerns, and cost savings.

Develop, justify, and implement capital expenditure projects from concept to completion.

Manage all quality and related efforts in the facility through internal and external customer communication, associate input, and additional data collection and analysis.

Coordinate on-going plant wide initiatives with the General Manager.

Production Management:

Work with Production Supervisors, Engineering, and Maintenance Team to establish procedures to improve productivity and identify equipment needs in their respective areas.

Review production schedules, determine workforce requirements, and provide guidance to Production Supervisors to solve personnel issues, quality issues, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Anticipate or investigate production issues and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.

Establish standard operating procedures and time observations for all processes, including such items as receiving, assembling, picking, shipping, preventative maintenance, etc.

Safety:

Identify safety improvements while providing a safe work environment for employees throughout the facility.

Aid the Safety Manager in the implementation of safety programs.

Enforce disciplinary action when necessary.

Conduct assessments and update work instructions and job safety analyses as process improvements are made.

Required Experience

5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing/production environment

1-2 years of prior team lead or management experience
