What Does A Production Foreman Do At Builders Firstsource/Probuild

* Oversees and supervises individuals and work teams in the performance of a variety of work activities such as work process set up, assembly, sheathing and stacking; evaluates efficiency of work processes and identifies and implements process improvements to optimize productivity.
* Provides on-the-job skills and quality standards training to both new and seasoned employees in order to ensure that learning and self development opportunities exist for production staff.
* Meets with teams and lead workers to inform them of daily, weekly, monthly production goals; encourage questions and suggestions and provides feedback on accomplishments and upcoming challenges to keep employees involved and motivated in accomplishing goals.
* May supervise other activities such as maintaining inventory levels, unloading, storage and movement of raw materials, placement and loading of finished products for shipping and delivery.
* While primary role is supervisory in nature, may be required to perform duties of assigned employees.
* Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices and oversees the activities of other employees in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
* Other duties may be assigned.
* COMPETENCIES
* Knowledge of company products, production processes and product standards
* Skilled in use of all tools and equipment used for component manufacture at location
* Ability to execute plans/projects through others
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) program .
* Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

What Does A Production Foreman Do At Icicle Seafoods, Inc.

* Oversee production to attain the most efficient, productive and cost effective operation.
* Oversee the production of a quality product meeting Icicle standards.
* Ensure safety of vessel personnel by overseeing the safe use of equipment and by maintaining an accident free workplace.

* Perform quality inspections of completed work so that the correct quantity of correctly fabricated and correctly tagged material will be shipped to the proper customer’s destination.
* Assist in the evaluation of employees so that appropriate compensation can be made to employees based on merit.
* Perform various jobs such as operation of sheer, bender, crane operator, car puller, fork-lift operator, etc. so that shift work is done efficiently and on time.
* Perform other duties as requested by the Operations Manager
