Production Line Operator

• Track the performance of equipment and monitor the results/output of product
• Respond to occasional non-standard situations related to the equipment
• Ensure at the start of shift that all equipment is set up to specifications
• Complete changeover procedures
• Adhere to HAACP guidelines, SQF, Good Manufacturing Practices, following all sanitation and process procedures
• Meet production output goals
• Report mechanical problems to the maintenance department
• Correctly complete paperwork

ITW Pro Brands is a manufacturer of lubricants, cleaning chemicals, and corrosion preventatives formulated to maximize equipment productivity and product quality for customers. We go to market through B2B with a focus on the automotive, aviation, fabricated metal, food processing and machinery manufacturing market segments. Offering a brand portfolio that is well recognized within these industrial channels, our premium products address customer pain points and our direct sales team provides expert, value-added consulting at the customer level. This posiktion is remote. ITW Pro Brands has 3 manufacturing facilities (Olathe, KS, Tucker, GA and DeWitt, IA) and a formulation lab in Carol Stream, IL and employs 250+ individuals.

This critical position is responsible for operating production machinery in line with safe work practices and procedures. Prior experience in operating mechanical, pneumatic and electrically driven manufacturing & packaging equipment is highly preferred, but any experience that shows capability to operate equipment safely and consistently will be considered.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

+ Must be capable of meeting standard manufacturing, office, and laboratory demands of either data entry, sitting, standing, squatting, and to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

**RESPONSIBILITY FOR EQUIPMENT / PROCESS / PRODUCT / ETC.**

+ Must accept responsibility for the proper use of equipment, processes, and products made available by the company.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**

+ Must be capable of working in a standard office/laboratory environment. Must be capable of working for long periods in a manufacturing environment, which may require exposure to heat, cold, machinery, and controlled chemicals.

+ Responsible for workspace and any assigned company property, equipment, or materials.

**SAFETY**

+ Must be capable of and willing to accept all work rules, safety, and environmental instructions, policies, and procedures, as it applies to the job.

+ Might work with chemicals, some might be hazardous.

+ Follow all safety precautions and methods.

+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ Computer proficiency within Windows based environment. Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite software (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)

+ Ability to compute basic math to perform the role.

+ Possess basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot machines and perform minor repairs when needed

• Ensure quality of manufactured goods.
• Inspect goods as they are finished.
• Examine materials from suppliers before sending them to the production line.
• Inspect components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
• Perform quick visual inspections.
• Test, measure, and analyze products.
• Take samples for testing.
• Perform inspections.
• Record pass/fail grade of products.
• Produce detailed reports.
• Other tasks/responsibilities as assigned
• Qualifications: Knowledge of wire harnesses process.

• 2 to 3 years of quality-related experience and/or training in an automotive manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Background in automotive quality systems and TS certification.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Computer literate and proficient in common software packages. e.g., MS Office.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate an extensive variety of technical instructions and specifications
• Training/understanding of problem-solving techniques

Schedule

• Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays.
