Production Supervisor Job Duties and Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate work of hourly employees on shift so that production schedules are met.
Ensure that machines are operated within established parameters.
Ensure that final product conforms to established quality standards.
Ensure that production efficiency targets are met.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of the processes used and the effect of the controls on those processes; understands the end uses and required quality levels of the products produced in his area.
Complete and distribute accurate production reports.
Ensure that all warehousing, shipping, and production line reports are complete/correct.
Complete and approves employees' time records.
Maintain current, complete personnel records relating to attendance, performance, training, assignments, etc.
Maintain proper relationship between management and employee, ensuring that all personnel policies, procedures, and interaction management techniques are followed.
Formally review employee's development and performance in annual reviews.
Effectively handles personnel matters and corrective action of employees in consistent, tactful, and fair manner, following guidelines established by the employee handbook.
Identify training needs. Then, coordinates and assists in the training and development of employees. Cross-trains employees within levels so as to provide needed depth to “level” concept.
Follow progression and accurate reporting of employee status, raises, performance, and qualification.
Counsel and instruct subordinates on their assigned responsibilities and assures that their actions are in accordance with existing procedures and policies. Holds meetings with subordinates regularly to review problems, train, and cover policy, procedure, and process or operation changes.
Encourage safe work behavior through example and direction.
Maintain a record of no lost time accidents and minimal recordable incidents.
Identify and communicates to appropriate personnel concerns regarding safety policies or unsafe working conditions. Takes immediate action, if necessary, to prevent unsafe work condition (s) from resulting to injury.
Ensure overall operation performs in safe manner.
Ensure proper use of chemical recycling program.
Maintain good housekeeping by eliminating daily product loss, trash off floor, and all materials properly stacked and put away.
Identify adjustments to manpower, equipment, or process, which may prove effective.
Ensure proper storage and warehousing of product.
Other related duties as assigned by Plant Manager.

Under the general direction of the ProductionManager, the Production Superintendent provides general supervision for production, shipping, and other related functions as assigned. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Coordinate activity with the productionmanager to plan and manage daily and weekly schedules to meet production goals, prioritize work orders, maintain quality requirements, and assure an even flow of work through all the departments with to increase up-time and minimize unscheduled downtime.
Maintain a clean, safe and injury-free work environment by ensuring health and safety procedures are understood and executed by all employees.
Assist the ProductionManager in enforce health, safety, environmental, quality, and continual improvement standards as set by the corporation and by local, state, and federal regulations.
Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department including predictive and preventative maintenance, planned shutdowns, and clean-up and installation of new equipment.
Identify staffing needs, hire competent individuals, conduct employee trainings, oversee employee performance, and manage any disciplinary or termination situations.
Conduct employee training on all equipment, protocols, production standards, safety regulations, and waste control on an ongoing basis.
Analyze production performance, identify opportunities, make recommendations for process and equipment improvement, establish and execute goals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree.
7+ years' of previous experience in corrugated manufacturing industry.
5+ years' previous experience in a supervisory capacity at a corrugated manufacturing facility.
Previous experience in coaching, training, teambuilding, performance development, and conflict resolution.
Established knowledge of corrugated and packaging manufacturing machinery, concepts, practices, and procedures including continual improvement processes and safety practices.
Working knowledge of computer systems including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software as well as experience with manufacturing systems including shop floor software.
Previous work experience as a member of a team, or a strong understanding of the importance of open communication and information sharing between team members.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Purchase material/services to successfully operate the facility

Promote and maintain a clean workplace that is “tour-ready” at all times
Ability to read drawings, plan production tasks from those drawings, and coach employees to produce product correctly
Ability to operate some of the standard tools on the plant floor such as overhead cranes, hand tools, batch plant, etc. While the Plant Manager will not be asked to operate these things continuously, having some of these skills will make him/her a better coach and troubleshooter
Be a leader and coach leadership. Motivate crews during morning huddles. Lead effective Mid-Day meetings. Coach Leads on how to set expectations on a whiteboard and have them followed. Lead inventory counts. Promote safety best practices in meetings with other Plant Managers
Perform any other duties as assigned by the General Manager as deemed appropriate and necessary by them
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Engineering or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience working in a leadership role in an industrial manufacturing environment
Experience with precast/concrete or building materials is a plus

Set-up and operation of equipment connected with Bulking process.
Assist with equipment steam in place (SIP) on equipment used for sterile bulking processes.
Perform biological sampling of general manufacturing clean room facilities.
Perform 100% inspections of pre-filled syringes.
Assist and support any aseptic process development activities/projects as determined by Specialty Injectable Manager.
Ability to learn Aseptic technique and work in an aseptic environment.
Bulking (Polymer) Specific Responsibilities.
Perform the setup/operation/disassembly and cleaning of production bulking, milling and packaging equipment independent of maintenance personnel oversight.
Complete cleaning, inspection and lubrication tasks on all Polymer area production equipment.
Act as liaison between operations and maintenance staff when maintenance requirements are beyond the capability/scope of manufacturing personnel.
Formulate bulk materials.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Director of Manufacturing to oversee custom signage projects through the manufacturing process. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills making sure projects are completed on time while directing a team of fabricators and painters to create some of the coolest signs in Colorado.
The ideal candidate is well-versed in different manufacturing processes, has a great blend of technical education and real-world hands-on experience. Is someone who loves learning and can learn from others, who can motivate, grow, and mentor a team, and is always striving to improve process and efficiencies while consistently maintaining high quality.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning:
· Develop and implement manufacturing strategies, create production schedules, and forecasts to align with the needs of other departments such as sales and field operations.
Operations Management:
· Oversee daily production, workflow, equipment, and facility layout, ensuring efficiency and production output across all manufacturing teams.
· Manages day-to-day operational aspects of multiple projects with varying scopes
Quality & Compliance:
· Drive quality control to ensure products meet design and engineering requirements, while maintaining quality and documenting compliance.
Team Leadership:
· Recruit, train, develop, and manage manufacturing staff, while fostering a strong, and engaged team.
Process Improvement:
· Drive continuous improvement using lean principles, identify bottlenecks, and implement new technologies while continually improving quality across all products.
Resource Management:
· Manage fabrication department to align with budgets, drive cost control, and optimize resource allocation (personnel, equipment, materials).
Collaboration:
· Work with Design/Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Project Management, and other teams to align production needs with business goals.
· Participate in regular planning and status meetings with other departments.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Excellent communication skills are a must.
· Must have experience managing 20+ employees across multiple disciplines
· Be hands-on, creative, and have a strong desire to foster a culture of innovation while being results-driven.
· Innate problem solver, well-versed in different manufacturing technologies and how the are (and could be) used.
· Someone with a positive, can-do attitude who simply refuses to fail (because why would we fail when it's easier to just win)?
· Negotiation and conflict resolution skills to manage timelines, budgets, and expectations.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to coordinate with other department managers to address issues quickly.
· Technical aptitude to review shop drawings, proofs, and installation plans.
· Ability to adapt to unexpected challenges (delays, material shortages, permitting issues).
· Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
· Punctually responds to voicemail, email, and other forms of correspondence with other departments.
· Identifies opportunities for improvement in process or procedures and makes constructive suggestions for change.
Preferred Education and Experience:
· 7+ years of progressive experience leading a multi-disciplined manufacturing team
· Hands-on experience in metal and/or plastics fabrication, electronics, and construction
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, structural, industrial)
