Job Summary:
The Production Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations at the site. This includes optimizing efficiency across tire collection, processing, production, and manufacturing operations. This role also involves strategic planning, team leadership, effective performance coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations, including tire collection, processing, production, and manufacturing optimization and compliance.
Manage the transportation team, ensuring best-in-class customer service, logistics optimization, on-time collections and deliveries, and DOT compliance.
Work with corporate and local grade teams to maximize grade yield and rim collections.
Create and manageproduction plans, assign personnel, set priorities, and monitor progress, addressing any issues as they arise.
Optimize manufacturing run rates, ensuring production schedules and output targets are met, while managingproduction output and quality requirements.
Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and logistics.
Lead and develop a high-performance team by providing coaching, training, and performance management.
Control operations costs by managing budgeting, identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies, and improving profitability.
Develop and maintain relationships with large customers and landfills to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Act as an interim General Manager as needed to support operations.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Proven experience managing manufacturing operations and transportation logistics, ensuring maximum efficiency and performance.
Strong background in P&L management, budgeting, and financial forecasting with a focus on controlling costs and improving profitability.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and transportation operations, including fleet management and cost-effective logistics.
Strong leadership and team development skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams and enhancing team engagement.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels of the organization, from frontline staff to senior management.
Familiarity with manufacturing software, ERP systems, and transportation management systems for tracking operational performance.
Strong understanding of OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations, ensuring compliance across operations.
Bi-lingual preferred: English and Spanish.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or another related field or a combination of education and experience in a related field is preferred
Previous experience with recycling or a similar industry, such as waste management or productionmanagement is preferred
Minimum of five years' hands-on experience in a leadership role, including responsibility over manufacturing operations, equipment utilization, production teams, and transportation logistics (including fleet management, scheduling, and routing).
Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools and processes and be effective communicating and influencing others to get work accomplished
Proven results on cost control, profitability, and financial performance.
Hands-on experience optimizing manufacturing run rates, production teams, and transportation logistics.
