About the Role:

Qualifications

Plant Sanitation ManagerThe Plant Sanitation Manager is responsible for ensuring the Niagara Bottling Plant cleaning and sanitation policies and standards are met. Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving food safety and quality issues.
Insure the plant uses approved chemicals for cleaning and sanitation.
Implement a cleaning and sanitation Training Program for CIP, COP, and environmental cleaning and sanitation. This should include, but not be limited to chemical safety, CIP/COP basics, external cleaning, sanitary maintenance oversight, etc.
Provide an environmental oversight to the sanitation processes at the plant. Inform the Plant Engineer of any potential wastewater or discharge issues.
Maximize the use of Niagara's document control software, quality systems or other CIP monitoring software systems for sanitation/cleaning documentation and record keeping.

Geronimo Power is seeking a Solar and BESS Plant Manager to join our team. The Plant Manager will manage the onsite day to day direction for the safe and reliable operation of the 270 MW solar facility 180 MW BESS facility near Waco, TX. The Plant Manager is responsible for leading a safe, high performing operations team of Field Technicians. Responsibilities of this position include development and compliance with an operating budget, outage coordination and scheduling with the interconnect entity, oversight of operations and maintenance to ensure work is carried out using Prudent Utility Practices. The role will encompass setting and achieving business area goals that align with the overall company goals and metrics which focus on safety, reliability and fiscal responsibility. The Plant Manager will report to the Regional Director, Field Operations.
Responsibilities
Ensure the solar/BESS plant provides maximum availability/reliability in a safe, economical, and proactive manner by providing direction and supervision to operations personnel.
Ensure strict management and compliance of all company and project environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs.
Communicate regularly with various departments: environmental health & safety, engineering, asset management, and other personnel to ensure satisfaction of internal/external customer requirements.
Hiring key personnel, establish training, work and safety procedures, maintenance schedules, and other critical areas required as part of self-performance of operations and maintenance.
Perform staffing activities, counseling, coaching, training, and corrective actions of subordinate employees. Prepare performance evaluations per company instructions and guidelines.
Manage site environmental permits and site vegetation management strategy
Assist team with NERC compliance and other regulatory requirements as determined.
Assist in preparing annual budget for the site and maintain operating expenses within.
Participate in and promote job/work package safety analysis, job site safety observations, audits, safety meetings, safety training, and injury/event assessment.
Manage day to day activities of the site completing all scheduled preventative work in a timely manner and performing corrective maintenance.
Tracking all activities at site and ensure documentation is filed as needed, specifically withing the company's computerized maintenance management system
Ensure execution of work schedule by planning day to day activities and coordinating outages.
Oversee plant performance and assist with troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, and warranty activities/claims of all equipment, ensuring compliance with manufacturers' requirements.

Assist with performing QA/QC of the project while still in the construction phase and ensure successful transition from construction to operations.

Set up site for proper tooling, inventory, spare parts, and other equipment necessary to perform efficiently and effectively.
Administer warranties. Submit and track warranty claims. Track all on loan parts and reconcile with appropriate parties
Manage implementation of capital improvement programs, retrofits and operations initiatives.
Participate in root cause analysis and present findings to cross-functional teams, including executive management.
Manage inventory and work with suppliers on parts reorder, perform cycle counts of inventory.

Qualifications
Four-year college degree or technical school certificate; or 5 years of related experience or power industry training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated experience in electrical facility operations and maintenance including a minimum of 5 years' experience in a broad range of renewable or other power generation development, design, permitting, construction, or operations. Experience within the renewable industry and specifically solar is preferred
Minimum 2 years' experience leading a direct team or group of employees and ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.

Position Purpose:
Responsible for supervising and scheduling day-to-day operational activities to include troubleshooting, health, safety, and environmental compliance issues and policies, quality assurance/control, determining cost of supplies versus labor, provide technical expertise on operational modifications, hiring and training of subordinates, etc. Assist immediate supervisor in the annual preparation of goals versus forecasted budgeted allowances as well as conducting special exploratory assignments.
Primary Duties /Responsibilities:
Enforces all compliance, health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with departmental and regional requirements.
Oversee compliance with all OSHA, EPA, DOT, and all other governmental regulations.
Attends and arranges for all required training courses.
Oversees operation of all equipment including maintenance to ensure optimum utilization.
Assists with the training of team members to ensure appropriate performance standards within the various functional areas of the site.

Responsibilities

Communicate daily with the crew regarding safety, performance metrics (KPIs), corrective actions, and future plans through High Performance Team (HPT) boards and meetings.
Review production schedules, assign tasks appropriately, and address schedule adjustments while ensuring proper staffing and equipment performance.
Prepare and maintain all necessary paperwork and records for the shift, ensuring smooth communication with off-going and on-coming shifts.

Qualifications
Education:

Ensure robust root cause and corrective actions (DAISE) for any major monthly misses (red metrics) at the Cell Control Tower levels.
Ensure celebrations of ‘wins' when Cells perform at an exceptional level.
Execute Macro Plan activities throughout the year including support of 4x annual Lean Leadership Weeks
People:
Responsible for communicating, training, guidance, and counsel of hourly associates to ensure the cell actively supports Continuous Improvement strategies, methodologies, and philosophies (5S, Flow, Ahead/Behind - visual management, SWIP management, Line Back Logistics, Product / Process Family definition, etc.)
Direct the activities of operators, including training, performance appraisals, discipline, safety, communications, and opportunity resolution.
Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Lean Transformation:
Partner with CORE / CI to support the site transformation journey; support the transformation roadmap.
Create/align cells through product/process family alignment IAW defined plans.
