SUMMARY
The Director of Production oversees the activities of the Production Department. They drive the workplace culture across the organization and are a key member of the Event Operations Team. The Director of Production creates partnerships with our employees and clients. They rely on teamwork to deliver excellent customer service for both internal and external customers, in the areas of event management, safe work practices, and department organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

First and foremost is a commitment to the culture and purpose of “Creating moments that matter” for all employees, guests and clients.
Implement and provide leadership regarding the BRAVO service strategy to all in the division, holding themselves and others accountable to these elements at all times.
Maintain an expert level proficiency of SDT and Production division policies and procedures.
Document standard operating procedures and develop additional policies if necessary. Oversee the Division's digital records.
Maintain expert level of understanding of the Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) with IATSE 122 for the Civic and Balboa Theatres as far as intention, interpretation, and implementation.
Create and maintain an operation manual of the division's ongoing practices in the areas of administration, safety, and equipment maintenance. Documentation of all areas should be kept in digital and physical formats, as needed.
Oversee the inventory of in-house theatrical equipment, and plan maintenance, replacement, and purchasing.
Maintain and periodically update San Diego Theatres Technical Specifications and floorplans.
Hire, train, and evaluate Production personnel. Develop and coach direct reports to ensure the optimal performance and alignment with San Diego Theatres' service standards.
Attend and participate in the Event Operations meeting on a weekly basis in order to develop strong working relationships across the organization, and review event related details with SDT departments.
Oversee scheduling to maintain appropriate Production staff for all events.
Act as onsite Point of Contact for touring productions and clients. Familiarize touring crews with location of electrical hook-ups, FOH positions, audio hookups, dressing room layout, as necessary.
Act as liaison with outside contractors or other service providers as needed for production requirements.
Ensure equipment, venues, and Back of House areas are maintained in a safe and clean condition.
Provide oversight of Crew Stewards at the Civic and Balboa Theatres to maintain proper implementation of Stagehand labor expenses as per the CBAs.
Ensure the accurate and timely submission of production-related event expenses for labor, equipment, outside services, and SDT personnel in Momentus event management software.
Perform workplace safety audits and ensure workplace safety training.
Collaborate with Vice President and Production team members on division's digital organization, leveraging technology to increase effectiveness in communicating information.
Purchase needed materials and equipment, and supervise labor providing the repair, placement, and maintenance of theatrical equipment, materials and supplies as needed for the operation of the facility.
Coordinate with the Vice President and Finance Department in the preparation of proposed budgets and oversight throughout the year. Work within the approved budgets to maximize the effectiveness of the operation. Responsible for the on-going understanding and management of the approved budgets, including revenue generation and expenditures.
Partner and effectively work with all SDT staff as needed to coordinate projects and events to ensure maximum contributions to a high performing team.
Assist in carrying out policies, procedures and guidelines and promptly advise Vice President of conflicts or inappropriate actions.

REQUIREMENTS

Ability and expectation to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours as necessary.
Expert ability to read, interpret and create documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Expert ability to write reports, correspondence, and other business-related documents.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of tools. Office365, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint skills a plus.
Ability to use Auto CAD a plus.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to understand instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to solve multiple problems involving varying situations in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Technical Theater, event management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Graduate level degree and professional certifications a plus.
Five (5) years' experience managing live events.
Three (3) years' experience managing contracted labor.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate concisely in the English language. Bilingual (all languages) a plus.
Ability to speak effectively in front of groups.
Ability to read and interpret documents.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises Production division's staff. Provides oversight of members of the IATSE Local 122 stagehands. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and overseeing training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing safety concerns, complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

Lean Manufacturing Expertise: Proven success with Lean principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) and Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

This position must display exemplary client-oriented service; a safety-first approach to technical show operations; and an ability and desire to foster a collaborative, respectful work environment. Musco Center works closely with the College of Performing Arts, Chapman University Departments, and Musco Center Presents touring artists and companies to present exemplary performances and events in our facility. The Assistant ProductionManager is a key position in managing these relationships and serving these users, with an emphasis on balancing artistic vision and integrity with practical needs via creative problem solving. The Assistant ProductionManager, supported by the Director of Production, provides expertise and support for stage productions and festivals at Musco Center. This support includes: Rider review & interpretation; Production advance, including, as needed, hospitality, housing, transportation; and Day-of production support of artists as well as production staff; Oversight of rehearsals and performances as assigned - this position is often the ranking Musco Center representative for after-hours CoPA rehearsals, and for some CoPA performances. The Assistant ProductionManager is the primary labor scheduling point of communication, as instructed by the Director of Production, and must be able to, on occasion, make thoughtful and considered labor schedule decisions with the Collective Bargaining Agreement rules, event needs, and budget in mind. In a typical season, the Assistant ProductionManager acts as the production primary for the majority of College of Performing Arts (CoPA) events/performances, a selection of Musco Center Presents events/performances, and occasionally for University Department or Rental events. This position fulfills administrative duties for the Production department - including, but not limited to: coordinating artist services, crew scheduling, securing services from outside vendors/partners, assisting with event budgeting/forecasting as well as settlements, scheduling departmental and event-specific production meetings, safety training planning and scheduling with staff/crew and vendors. This position maintains, creates, and updates event production information within Musco Center's event management systems. This position provides day-to-day oversight for implementation and adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement governing the IATSE Local 504 Casual Stage Technicians and full-time Technical Department Heads in support of Production Department leadership. Job Summary
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving the sales efforts of their assigned venue. Essential Functions

Enter all pertinent client information into Pinnacle Live's CRM platform, and develop and drive an individual sales strategy that includes individual and team funnel, and sales activity reporting.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with the In-Venue Sales team and the National Director of Venue Sales.
Focus on building outstanding relationships, lines of communication, and trust within the hotel sales team and Pinnacle Live internal teams.
Represent Pinnacle Live and hotel venue during site visits, planning meetings, pre-convention and debrief meetings.
Deliver “Gold Standard” customer experiences throughout the sales process, event execution, and post-event follow-up.

Position Summary
The ProductionManager (Hands-On / Shop Floor Role) reports directly to the SpeedPro Imaging studio owner and is a production-focused position, not a marketing or graphic design role. Key Responsibilities
Ability to Commute:
Must be able to reliably commute to the SpeedPro Greater San Diego studio
Lead the printing and production of client orders from start to finish
Inspect customer files, provide digital proofs, and prepare graphics for production
Operate and maintain production equipment, including:
Large-format printers
CNC router cutter
Laminators
Graphtec cutters
Perform cutting, masking, and taping of printed and non-printed vinyl
Manage and oversee finishing processes for signage and graphics
Conduct inventory tracking and provide material requirements for procurement*
*The team can assist with ordering materials once a list is provided
Provide graphic design support when required (unless outsourced)
Complete smaller graphic installations as needed
Unload and unpack deliveries to the studio
Perform vehicle inspections, measurements, and site surveys
Pack, label, ship completed jobs, and make local deliveries
Utilize CoreBridge software for estimates and quotes
Qualifications & Skills
Proven hands-on experience in large-format print production (required)
Strong prepress experience using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop (file setup, bleed, scaling, color, print readiness)
Ability to independently operate production equipment, including large-format printers, laminators, CNC router cutters, and Graphtec cutters
Solid knowledge of materials used in the sign and graphics industry (vinyls, substrates, laminates, adhesives)
Understanding of shop safety procedures, protocols, and best practices
Ability to manage multiple production jobs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
