Constellation is seeking Initial License Trainees (ILT) to become a licensed Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) supporting Clinton Generating Station located in Clinton, IL.
The primary purpose of this position is to train and prepare to perform the duties of an Operations Shift Supervisor who holds a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) License. Upon completion of training the candidate will be fully licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to supervise the licensed activities of licensed reactor operators in the reactor control room. They will also be trained to directly supervise bargaining unit reactor operators and equipment operators generally.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Attend Initial License Training (ILT) which includes classroom training and examination, along with on-the-job training and evaluation.
Successfully complete all phases of training to obtain an SRO license in order to perform the duties of an Operations Shift Supervisor.
Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma/GED
Meet or exceed one of the following:
1 year Reactor Operator license at a comparable facility or 1.5-years at a noncomparable facility. Comparable is Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) to PWR or Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) to BWR and noncomparable is PWR to BWR or BWR to PWR.
1.5-years or more in a position equivalent to Reactor Operator (or Supervisor) at military reactor (i.e., Power Plant Watch Engineer, Engineering Watch Supervisor, Reactor Operator, Engineering Officer of the Watch, Propulsion Plant Watch Supervisor). Must have 1.5-years after qualification.
Degree from a 4-year program or equivalent in engineering, engineering technology or physical sciences, or professional engineer license, and more than 1.5-years as a qualified non-licensed operator or a supervisor or manager in work control, operations, engineering, outage management, maintenance, radiation protection, chemistry, or accredited training at a comparable (BWR or PWR) facility. Managerial, staff engineer, or supervisor experience at noncomparable plant may be credited on a 1.5:1.0 basis (i.e., over 2.25-years required for noncomparable facility), and 3-years required for a nontraditional degree.
Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.

Summary of Role/Position
Performs complex managerial functions within the Distribution Center. Plans, controls, and directs assigned operations in a cost-efficient, timely and accurate manner. Works under direction with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment to attain specific goals and objectives.
YOU WILL:
Schedule and assign employees in the direct performance of assigned tasks in one or more of the following areas: Audit, Shelf Order Fill, Rack Pack, Rack Order Fill, Shipping, Receiving, Stock, IC/PC, Returns
Review staff requirements, evaluate operations, make recommendations, and take appropriate action.
Prepare or supervise the preparation of production records and reports as required.
Compare employee attendance and productivity to standards and take remedial action as required.
Interview, assist, train, and evaluate employees.
Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies.
Maintain safe operating practices.
Work with others in a team environment. Take direction, follow work rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.
Lead and manage others effectively.
Perform other duties as assigned.
YOU MUST HAVE:
Broad knowledge of the distribution of fulfillment operations.
Graduation from high school or equivalent. Education and experience may be substituted for one another.
Functional reading, writing, and math.
PC literacy.
Written and verbal communication/instruction skills

The Assistant Plant Manager supports the Plant Manager in all aspects of operations to meet production goals safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and applicable government regulations. This is a developmental role with the aim to make the incumbent familiar with the safety concept, the production process, the operation personnel and team concept, the site organization and culture, the relevant internal and external stakeholders as well as Evonik company KPIs and guidelines. The Assistant Plant Manager is a key player for the transformation of Mapleton and acts as the deputy of the Plant Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist in maintaining the ESHQ and HACCP Improvement Process
* Assist in maintaining open communications with plant personnel to ensure continuity of safe, efficient operations.
* Assist the Plant Manager in planning for and managing the overall production operation.
* Assist in preparing and maintaining production, safety, equipment and personnel records through cooperation with the plant engineers, plant process engineers, engineering process engineer, maintenance coordinators.
* Research and act upon employee requests and recommendations. Complete responsibility for all activities and personnel within the building Scope.
* Assist in investigating and resolving customer product complaints,
* environmental and safety incidents. Ensure compliance with applicable ISO and Food Safety, GMP procedures in production operations.
* He/she takes part in plant tours on cleanliness, safety and occupational health and ensures timely corrective actions.
* Assist in establishing and administering facility safety and environmental programs/processes, including Variance action items and MOC processes.
* Project management - act as Project Responsible on capital projects in the unit
* Substitute for the Plant Manager during his absence.
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor or Master of Science Degree, in Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree and experience.
* Minimum five years' experience in a chemical process plant environment with supervision and/or engineering responsibilities.
* Skills with communicating/working with individuals with varied backgrounds Strategic vision
* Continuous improvement background.
* PSM experience is a plus.
Summary Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. **Role Definition**
