Multiple positions are available at our plant site in Evendale, OH Essential Responsibilities: Operate balance equipment and perform functional component and accessory tests as assigned. Verify work performed is in accordance with technical specifications, manuals, or other quality verification criteria. Use all types of precision measuring instruments and devices, hand and power tools, shop equipment, and machinery. Perform comprehensive examinations of hardware for serviceability and airworthiness certification. Provide routing and the movement of assemblies, hardware, tooling, and other material in support of assigned area. Maintain records and perform related duties. Perform functional tests and maintain process controls. Individuals selected for this internship will have the responsibility and authority to carry out all assigned tasks Basic Qualifications: Active Military personnel of their last 180 days before exiting Military service High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in the use of precision measuring instruments. FAA Power Plant License or the 8610-2 Military form Desired Characteristics: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in the use of basic hand and power tools. Experience with computers, applications, and keyboarding. This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Key Responsibilities: + + Provides maintenance and repairs for the fleet of Streetcars on a daily basis in order to meet fleet availability requirements + Performs all maintenance and repair activities in compliance with OEM requirements, the streetcar maintenance program and associated SOPs + Supports servicing staff in ensuring Streetcars are serviced and clean for service availability + Supports MOF Facility Maintainer in the care and maintenance of shop equipment that is utilized for Streetcar maintenance and repair + Moves Streetcars into and out of the shop for inspections and servicing + Adheres to all safety and organizational rules, policies and procedures + Works with Streetcar manufacturer field personnel to support warranty work and administration + Inputs/provides accurate documentation in Maximo; the Company's Asset Management/MMIS program + Supports Transportation staff to ensure timely pullouts from the yard for revenue service on a daily basis + Supports Transportation staff in troubleshooting and towing disabled vehicles back to the MOF whenever required + Supports the Maintenance of Way working group whenever required + Reports all accidents, incidents, or unusual occurrences and accurately completes all required reporting and documentation + Diligently operates as an overseer of the Streetcar System in order to ensure a safe, secure and clean operation for the public and all employees and passengers Other duties as required Qualifications: + 21 years or older + Valid state license + Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional) + Excellent communication & customer service skills. + Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. + Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. Physical Requirements: The essential functions of this position require the ability to: + Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations. + Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces. + Push and pull objects up to50pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level. + Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
