Student employees will support the Theater & Dance department's productions, specifically in the areas of technical production, as required by a specific production's needs. Work is done in the Kaleidoscope's scene shop, Lenfest Theater, and Blackbox Studio Theater, under the direct supervision of the Theater & Dance department's Technical Director & Production Manager and Performing Arts Technician. Schedule may vary weekly. Some evening and weekend hours will likely be required during a production's load in period and tech weekend, and during campus events taking place in the building.
Typical work week may average between 12 and 20 hours.
Responsibilities:
Learn and practice a variety of skills (depending on the needs of the production) primarily including hanging and focusing lights, setting up microphones and speakers, and (as needed for the production), scenic carpentry, metalworking, scenic painting, and theatrical rigging.
Support the technology needs for campus events taking place in the Kaleidoscope (lectures, dinners, ceremonies, etc.)
Train on the theaters fly-system and operation along with other specified theatrical equipment.
Help with the set-up of both theater spaces for rehearsal and technical rehearsals.

Document all information for each salad packed on the Machine Operator Checklist daily and turn in to the Production Office.
Conduct metal detector calibration checks and immediately report any issues to QA.

* Controls and operates depositor for proper cream weight, keeping the cream deposit centered in the shell, and no cream tailing. Adjust re-suck and monitor depositor ratio to maintain even deposit.
* Maintain &/or adjust the cream level; and take cream weights, calculate & record on SPC chart
* Monitor and record temperature of cream, make decision to fill shell based on temperature of cream.
* Knowledge of process pertaining to specified depositors and cream amounts for various products.
* Pumps out remaining "on hand" cream into buckets. Weighs and labels buckets.
* Perform changeovers including cream flushes and configuration.
Relief Operator:
* Monitor and adjust computer to maintain shell weights and record on SPC charts.

Job Summary:

What You Will Do
As a Production Operator, you are responsible for making the highest quality fresh foods that will nourish pets and help them live healthier lives! You will be part of a team operating various production equipment, moving ingredients across the cooking process to packaging the ready to eat fresh meals to be delivered to our customers.
How You How You Will Make an Impact
Perform duties with a safety-first approach and support a “Safety First” culture
Processing and cooking raw meat, vegetables, and dry ingredients
Manually loading ingredients as well as operating machines using a computer terminal and PLC touch screens
Packaging cooked product into plastic packaging, packing into boxes, palletizing and shrink wrapping
Recording data on product throughout the shift. Cooking times/ temperatures, verify batch ingredients, and finished product count/inventory
Responsible for startup, assembly/disassembly, changeovers, and shutdown of processing machinery and processing line equipment
Accurately completes paperwork related to production schedule inventory, HACCP plan, and/or quality standards
Is responsible for complete processing area machine operation
Responsible for weighing and staging ingredients for batch making
Follows all relevant SOPs and corrective action procedures
Cleans and sanitizes machine parts, equipment, and other areas.
Assures food safety standards with regards to GMPs and HACCP plan are being followed by self and fellow employees
Follows established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Handbook

What You Will Bring
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in production within manufacturing, ideally in the food or beverage industry
Ability to work independently and within a team
Solid problem solving and decision making skills
Must be able to work in a refrigerated (40 degrees) food manufacturing environment
Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds frequently without assistance
