Role Purpose:
The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for the manufacture of therapeutic proteins (API) under cGMP conditions. Level I associates are expected to execute process recipes, follow written procedures (SOPs), monitor equipment and processes, perform basic laboratory tasks, including pH, conductivity, sampling, and conduct routine sanitization tasks to maintain facility and equipment. They are expected to attain a basic understanding of cGMP compliance while training under close supervision, demonstrating aseptic technique in handling of products and materials.
Responsibilities
40% Set up, operate equipment, and monitor production processes, including clean-in-place (CIP) and steam-in-place (SIP) operations and report production in written and electronic documents in accordance with good manufacturing practice (GMPs) and good documentation procedures (GDPs), review documentation as appropriate
20% Attain qualification for all assigned tasks and maintain individual training plan
10% Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as monitor pH, conductivity, test product samples, etc.
10% Perform material movements, transfer raw materials, chemicals into, out of, across the production areas.
10% Maintain facility and equipment through routine cleaning and sanitization, support 6S programs
10% Administrative tasks - attending shift exchange, meetings, sending/receiving emails, participating in projects, perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (AS/BS in a science-related discipline preferred).
0-3 years' experience (prior manufacturing experience preferred).
Basic understanding of cGMP compliance (to be attained during training).
Knowledge of good documentation practices (GDPs).
Ability to perform laboratory techniques (pH, conductivity, sampling).
Demonstrated aseptic technique in handling materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Food safety or quality responsibilities within job. All staff are responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues to those that can initiate action.
To make independent adjustments and corrections to the mogul or accessory equipment, insuring efficient operation of that particular piece of equipment.
Directs the candy makers and/or production workers assigned to that particular piece of equipment being utilized, to ensure efficient operation in completing the assigned tasks.
Inspects all production to ensure compliance with specifications for that particular product.
Checks board and stroke weights every hour.
Completes all paper work which is required, including start-up checklists, tracking sheets, and other required paperwork.
Performs changeovers on the mogul and its accessories as directed by the supervisor or production planner. The use and understanding of written production schedules and instruction manuals, in English.
May be assigned to calculate, compile, and report production volumes as directed by the mogul supervisor.
Performs all duties assigned within the mogul section, including the loading and unloading of trucks into the mogul or dryroom, the loading of starch into the mogul, the manipulation of pump bars, and the catching and loading of candy trays. Duties may run concurrent when production runs are 4 hours or less, except when running candy corn and Dutch mints.
Performs the safe operation of a manual or powered pallet jack, also may be required to operate power lift equipment including specialized (narrow-aisle) equipment.
Responsible for sanitation throughout and at the end of the shift.
Will work in other departments of the Company as assigned.
Will perform other duties as assigned.
Responsible for the quality of their work and implementation of the food safety/quality procedures applicable to the processes that they perform.

The Plant Operator IV will be responsible for safely handling and filling gas products into liquid, medical and high pressure gas cylinders in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, and meeting the standard operating procedures of Airgas

Assists with the loading & unloading of cylinders on & off pallets and tractor trailers. Operates a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
Manages paperwork to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards. Completes quality control sheets as required.
Understands hazards of various gases; size and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks. Accurately labels cylinders.
Complies with all government and company standards relating to the safe handling of hazardous materials/cylinder gases.
Maintains a neat, clean and orderly plant appearance.

Job Summary: Our Sign Shop Production Operator and Installer work closely with our sales team, providing support with the goal of increasing sales and customer satisfaction.
Responsibility Overview:
Understanding of signage and graphics media and substrates.
Proficient use of sign production and finishing equipment.
Prepare substrates for application. This may include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, and maintaining the substrates for application.
Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of the image. Know how and when to use each technique.
Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-construction by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards (bubbles, rough edges, loose seams).
Perform finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, and/or mounting printed pieces.
Install signs at customer locations as directed.
Operate the laminator while maintaining proper fit and settings.
Maintain a sufficient inventory of media, laminates, and substrates.
Maintain production rate consistency; meet or exceed established minimum rates per hour.

Toray Advanced Composites is a leading supplier of thermoplastic and thermoset composite materials for the aerospace and industrial advanced composite industry. The thermoset composites from Toray Advanced Composites are used on satellites, radomes, unmanned aircraft, general aviation and military aircraft. Toray Advanced Composites also provides thermoset composites in high end industrial and recreational applications ranging from oil and gas to prosthetics to sporting equipment. We provide thermoset materials with epoxy, BMI, cyanate ester or high temperature polyimide resin matrices.
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
Production Technician I will support the production department by assisting the senior-level technicians. Duties include learning Toray's quality standard by understanding how to check for defects and hourly checks of the machine. Entry technicians will review the quality process and find quality issues with oversight from senior technicians. Additionally, the technician will package rolls and retrieve required items for production. As time progresses, the Production Technician I should be able to follow detailed instructions and work under close supervision to complete allocated tasks. Tasks would include setting up the machine with full oversight, being able to prioritize routine tasks to improve efficiency, and troubleshooting minor production-related issues. Additionally, the technician should be able to follow procedures which include the use of personal protection equipment. The Production Technician I will be trained and expected to dispose of hazmat waste safely in the proper area. Roles and responsibilities are subject to change.
MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Operations:
Follow instructions and work under close supervision to complete the allocated tasks
With oversight, set up and operate machines for advanced composite materials
Escalates equipment and production issues by notifying the Lead and/or Supervisor
Quality:
Understand how to check for defects on the line
Hourly checks of the machine
Review and understand the quality process and identify quality issues with senior oversight
Safety
Follow safety procedures for PPE (personal protection equipment)
Dispose of hazmat waste in the proper area
Maintain a clean working environment

Preparation (wrapping and labeling) of the product for processing, loading, and unloading product from the equipment

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
At least 3 months of experience working with composites or production (preferred)
Strong mechanical aptitude
Math and basic computer skills required
(Math test is given during interview)
Ability to convert grams to pounds
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions for machine operation
Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbally) in English
Able to work and communicate as a team
Maintain work areas in a neat, orderly, and safe manner
Must be capable of lifting up to 55 lbs
Excellent attendance; ability to work overtime, weekends, and off shifts when needed
PAY RATE: $23.00 per hour + 10% shift differential

Cut and shape plastic materials (deflash) to ensure product specifications are met by using a cutting knife, scraper or other tools.
Conduct quality checks to ensure the finished plastic components meet the required dimensions and quality standards as described in the Quality specification sheets.
Monitor the machines during the production process to prevent jams, malfunctions, or other issues and report in a timely manner to Process Technicians or Supervisor.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate production records, including the quantity and quality of plastic components produced during each shift to ensure information integrity.
Collaborate with colleagues in the manufacturing department to ensure the seamless production of plastic products by communicating and providing assistance where necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized working area to contribute to safety and well-being of co-workers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a manufacturing setting and/or operating plastic cutting equipment for blow molding, injection molding, and extruder machine products, is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
Ability to use simple math arithmetic - addition and subtraction.
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, bilingual is a plus.
Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 25 lbs. repetitively and stand for extended periods.
