This position works under close supervision and is primarily responsible for performing all duties and tasks associated with one of the work cells listed below, as assigned by plant management, while adhering to quality standards according to GMP, sanitation and safety procedures. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. * Sets- up (assembles and disassembles), operates, adjusts and cleans equipment to produce color products and packages these finished goods according to quality, GMP, safety and sanitation standards. Operations may include blending, filling and packing procedures.
2. * Locates, prepares, transfers and loads materials to be processed; transfers WIP or finished product to filling operation, additional processing operations, storage or shipping area.
3. * Prepares packing materials (drums, pails, boxes) and packaging labels and stacks or stages containers for transfer.
4. Draws samples and takes to QC lab for testing per product specifications. Confers with lab technicians and supervisors and makes adjustments to the process to bring the product within specification.
5. Prints and applies labels to product.
6. Completes necessary paperwork or data entry for production/lab records and inventory levels.
7. Follows all GMP, safety, sanitation and quality specifications and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

WORKING CONDITIONS

This can include coveralls, dust mask, hearing protection, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes. Work may occur in small rooms with air lock compliance to avoid interdepartmental contamination.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of military garment construction and alterations strongly preferred.
Ability to work with a variety of fabrics and garments with attention to precision and detail.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Must be able to meet security requirements and work on a U.S. military installation.

This position works under close supervision and is primarily responsible for performing all duties and tasks associated with one of the work cells listed below, as assigned by plant management, while adhering to quality standards according to GMP, sanitation and safety procedures. Knowledge of the SAP functions listed below must also be mastered.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. * Sets- up (assembles and disassembles), operates, adjusts and cleans equipment to produce color products and packages these finished goods according to quality, GMP, safety and sanitation standards. Operations may include blending, filling and packing procedures.
2. * Locates, prepares, transfers and loads materials to be processed; transfers WIP or finished product to filling operation, additional processing operations, storage or shipping area.
3. * Prepares packing materials (drums, pails, boxes) and packaging labels and stacks or stages containers for transfer.
4. Draws samples and takes to QC lab for testing per product specifications. Confers with lab technicians and supervisors and makes adjustments to the process to bring the product within specification.
5. Prints and applies labels to product.
6. Completes necessary paperwork or data entry for production/lab records and inventory levels.
7. Follows all GMP, safety, sanitation and quality specifications and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
1. Ability to read, write and speak English.
2. Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts to the production process including conversion of weight and volume in the metric system.
3. Ability to read and follow a recipe for mixing and/or blending product.
4. Ability to operate a forklift.
5. Ability to use basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrench) for assembly and disassembly of equipment.
6. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers regarding the status of the production process.
7. These characteristics are normally acquired through a High School Diploma or GED with experience in a production environment preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working environment is a production unit and includes frequent exposures to wet, humid, dusty, or loud conditions, moving machine parts, fumes or airborne particles and caustic chemicals. A company issued uniform is required to be worn along with personal protective equipment at all times. This can include coveralls, dust mask, hearing protection, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes. Work may occur in small rooms with air lock compliance to avoid interdepartmental contamination.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, hear, lift and/or move materials or equipment up to 50 lbs, use hands to finger, handle objects, tools or controls and roll bags, scoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and use foot/feet to operate machinery. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

3rd Shift 11pm-7:30am
All shifts include Saturdays plus overtime as required to meet production needs.
What You Need
* Minimum High school diploma or GED is required. Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
* Ability to work overtime as required.
* Must be able to safely work with ingredients and products that are derived from possibly allergenic sources including, but not limited to, nuts, soy, dairy, fish, and shellfish.
Physical Demands
* Must be able to work an entire 8 hour shift, when necessary, in an enclosed room.
* Must be medically qualified to work while using a half-mask respirator or a full-air respirator for up to six hours at a time and be able to follow Thorne Research's Respiratory Protection Program guidelines.
* Must be able to work in a stationary position as well as move about unassisted.
* Must be able to safely and carefully operate and use assigned production equipment and machinery.
* Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as circumstances arise during the course of a shift as well as climb a ladder unassisted.
* Must be able to operate, activate, use, prepare, and clean production equipment, occasionally grasping with force and using twisting wrist movements, as well as climb a ladder unassisted.
* Must have sufficient range of motion with arms and hands to reach overhead and to the side, often repetitively, during an 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shift.
* Must be able to ascend/descend a ladder while carrying up to 20 pounds of material.
* Must be able to print in a legible manner.
* Must be able to work in a moderate noise level environment.
* Must be able to move or lift items weighing up to 55 pounds from floor to table and from table to floor, often repetitively, during an 8-hour shift.
