Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience); 2- or 4-year degree or 2-4 years of related experience/training acceptable.
Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in labels or similar industries.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Math skills (including Algebra) and knowledge of printing/converting materials and technologies.
Excellent communication and training skills; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to travel for internal and customer visits and trials.

Production Technician - 3rd Shift

3rd Shift Hours:
Sunday 10:45pm-Monday 6:45am
Monday 10:45pm-Tuesday 6:45am
Tuesday 10:45pm-Wednesday 6:45am
Wednesday 10:45pm-Thursday 6:45am
Thursday 10:45pm-Friday 6:45am
The Technician Combo will be responsible for operating card stripping machines, and punch presses and conducting product inspection.
What you'll do as a Technician Combo:
Review with lead person the work to be performed
Review the work orders to determine the materials required for the daily production
Comply with production documentation and standard operating procedures
Load, operate, and perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on stripper machines.
Transfer stripped sheets to transfer cart and perform face and back inspection on strips per procedure.
Load, operate, and perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on punch machines with strips in proper sequence.
Perform deck inspection per written procedures. Identify and notify the lead operator and/or supervisor of defects.
Ensure that all component materials such as hanging tabs, tear tabs, tuck cases, cellophane, and cartons are in adequate supply, loaded properly, and correct for each work order
Maintain a neat and orderly work area, making sure that materials and equipment are in their correct place, that trash is cleared away, and that 5S standards are met
Understand various quality levels and audit accordingly as different products are produced
Reject product that does meet qualifications and place in a scrap container
Coordinate the containment of defective products with team members
Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Lead
We're looking for a Technician Combo with:
Knowledge
Minimum 1 to 2 years of work experience
High School diploma or equivalent work experience
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Skills
High attention to detail and judgment based on written procedures and guidelines
Ability to quickly identify production problems and ability to identify quality problems
Ability to work well with others and cooperate with team members and leadership team

Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:
Sitting at workstation as little as 20% of work time, standing and walking as much as 80% depending on assignment
Lift / push / pull up to 35 pounds
Ability to twist, reach, squat, and bend
Requires ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate objects
Full color vision
Involves moderate risks or discomforts and special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, pallets, trucks and machines
