plant. You will be called upon to assist with, and may be assigned work in, any area of the plant, including coating line, cut to length line, embosser, slitter, shipping, receiving, paint vault, and packaging.
As an operator, you will need to read, comprehend and interpret production schedules and paint sheets. Additionally, you will need to maintain a clean and organized work area according to 6s standards.

Coater Operators
Applies coatings to raw material according to customer specifications
Accurately measures and records paint viscosity
Applies knowledge of volume solids and resins to coating processes
Sets roll speeds for specific vendor/resin systems
Inspects risers, headers, nozzles, mist sprays, etc. to ensure they are working properly
Maintains adequate levels of paint in pan and paint curtain
Properly adjusts strip guide
Quickly analyzes application defects and problems and takes appropriate corrective actions
Accurately records paint usage by order and container traceability
Adjusts catenary to minimize strip drags in the ovens
Efficiently operates hold down buttons to coat wavy edges
Starts and shuts down ovens
Assists line operators with stitching coil strips together
Entry Operators
Coordinates the line entry activities of material allocations.
Loads the entry coil carts with proper coils.
Makes micrometer gauge checks and width and appearance checks, and reports any discrepancies form established standards to the shift supervisor.
Reports coil identification information to proper personnel in proper sequence and keeps the records associated with this position.
Operates the entry operator stations to properly charge coils into the coating line according to expectations and set procedures.
Monitors material during uncoiling and leaving the entry section, along with the total plant activities.
Accurately calculates footage and/or weights for specific job.
Effectively runs coating line tension leveler and makes adjustments to achieve appropriate sheet shape.
Communicates verbally and in writing with other departments of the plant concerning plant operations.
Operates line controls, often using both hands simultaneously.
Assists receiving Crane/Material Handler in unpacking coils to be loaded onto the coating line.
Check coils for passivation.
Inputs and retrieves information to and from the AS/400 main frame and the IPM systems
Operations Support
Retrieves and transports bare coils and maintains flow of metal to lines by safely operating cranes, fork lifts, and upenders without damaging material or equipment.
Trims, packages and bands finished coils according to customer specifications using proper skids, bands, pads, and wrapping materials.
Inspects coils and identifies and reports defects.
Reads and interprets production schedules.
Accurately identifies proper skid and package specified on schedules.
Reads and accurately records coil weights, order numbers, etc.
Shipping Clerk
Identify, schedule, and ship materials according to specifications.
Loads or unloads received or shipped coils onto or off of trucks
Schedules shipping appointments with dispatchers and logistics companies, updating on an outlook calendar
Qualifications
As the selected candidate, you will need a high school level reading and writing, visual acuity to read labels, meters, gauges, documents and instructions, in addition to the following:
Ability to read and comprehend written materials such as schedules, SOPs, work rules, etc.
Ability to effectively communicate with all members of team.
Ability to safely operate small manual and electric hand tools.
Available to work up to 12 hours per day on rotating shifts, that could include weekends and holidays.
