Conducts machine setup, tool setting, loading of programs, change work holding devices, tool changes, adjust geometry offsets, adjust wear offsets, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service for all machining and to provide cut-to-print products that meet established SPC requirements.
About the Role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities
Prepares and sets up equipment for scheduled production runs.
Provides emergency/unscheduled and scheduled maintenance of machining and laser cutting equipment during production and scheduled service times.
Performs 1st piece approval/layout using basic metrology equipment.
Operates machine to meet production schedules.
Produces products to meet established quality standards.
Performs mechanical skills of minor maintenance assistance and/or troubleshooting including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machining and laser cutting equipment.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and part prints to perform set-ups, adjustments, and equipment service.
Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
Compliance with TS16949 & ISO 14001 requirements.
Production measures, efficiency improvements i.e., uptime, throughput, and utilization.
Document repairs, adjustments, changeovers, set-ups, and preventive maintenance on necessary documents/logs.
Availability for overtime with or without advance notice to cover the off shifts.
All other duties assigned by supervision or other management.

Education/Experience:
Required: Technical training; exposure to manufacturing equipment.
2+ years of related experience in production machines.
Basic knowledge of CNC or Swiss lathe.
Basic experience with machine setup.
Basic knowledge of manual measuring tools.
Ability to read blueprints.
Preferred:
Machinist with experience in setting up and operating using Fanuc controls.
Ability to interpret GD&T tolerances
Required Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret manuals, drawings and blueprints and associated documents.
The ability to process, plan and execute production schedules.
The ability to read and interpret measurement devices and visual acuity are critical to this position.
Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
Preferred Skills
