The Machine Learning Engineer II will be a member of the Learning and Active Perception (LEAP) group in AV's MacCready Works division and support the development of a variety of innovative computer vision capabilities (object detection, classification, localization, and tracking) and other image/video analytics for defense and commercial applications. These development efforts require a range of skills and tools across traditional engineering, computer science, and mathematical disciplines including but not limited to data management, computer vision, machine learning, optimization, and deep convolutional neural networks. This position will span multiple stages of the development process including requirements gathering, algorithm design, prototyping, test and evaluation, and validation and verification testing. This specific role also involves on-site support for experimentation and fielded systems requiring a significant amount of extended travel, both domestic and international. Duties • Support development of computer vision and machine learning (ML) algorithms capable of object detection, classifying, localizing, and tracking objects of interest from a variety of stationary and mobile sensor platforms with the primary purpose of real-time automated target recognition (ATR) • Perform visual imagery data science to inform data collection, data labeling, and data selection for training deep computer vision ML algorithms, train the algorithms using the data, and validate data selection and algorithm design through a series of purpose-designed experiments. This will involve set up, adjusting, maintaining, and configuring processing equipment according to assigned specifications, and regular communication with production personnel and supervisors and the completion of required paperwork. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment with regards to cleaning and clearing them of debris and materials. Assist line mechanics in machinery repair or other tasks as/if needed. Must insure that all equipment is on and functioning properly prior to starting a run. Air is on, all conveyors are on. Must do visual inspection of boxes to insure proper box/tray is used and the graphics on the box/tray are acceptable. Watch flow of materials, i.e. Cans/bottles/boxes/trays, etc… into appropriate machine. Clear jams if necessary. Must insure proper coding is on the bottle, cans, boxes/trays, and if applicable the graphics are acceptable. Must insure closures and lids are properly applied. Verify flavor and size according to schedule. Report any major defects to the Lead person and/or Manager. Monitor the machine while running. Check to see that all bottles, cans are packed into the box correctly. Fill glue pot's as necessary. Verify case code is correct as scheduled. Clear your machine of all products at end of each run and at the end of your shift. Must follow the work rules at all times. GMP compliance MUST be adhered to at all times. PACKER - INSPECTOR Experience not necessary; training provided! Location: Sterling, MA In a Nutshell: Laddawn has manufacturing facilities located from coast to coast, which allows us to rapidly ship to our customers no matter where they are located. You'll help us inspect and package finished product that wows our customers. What you'll be doing: · Packaging bags\/rolls into boxes, weighing the boxes, and keeping accurate counts in the computer system. · Performing quality control checks on product and ensuring that all products are properly labeled with a Q.C. sticker before stacking finished product. · Keeping the work area clean and clutter free: picking up scrap materials around the production lines and cutting scrap off cores. · Alerting Setup Technicians or Changeover Technicians using the light system to keep them informed of production status. Scheduling Production workers are scheduled 12 hours per day, 4 days per week, and work every other weekend. Day shift is scheduled from 8am\-8pm. Night shift is scheduled from 8pm\-8am.
