The Cirrus Facility in Grand Forks produces composite "fiberglass" parts such as Wings, Fuselages, Horizontals, and their accompanying parts for the Cirrus SR20, SR22 piston airplane, and the SF50 Vision Jet. Our comprehensive training program, Cirrus University, will provide you with the hands on training and mentoring you will need to be successful in our Manufacturing environment. Schedule: Friday - Sunday; 5:00am - 5:30pm, OT as required. * Please note, you will be scheduled for 36 hours per week on this shift, with an extra 4 hours being paid on a weekly basis. There is also a 12% differential added to this shift. Job duties can include multiple fabrication responsibilities including; hand fabrication of composite parts, tooling preparation and maintenance, cutting and trimming of various manufacturing materials, oven operation, and many more manufacturing processes. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: * Embraces a culture of safety * Manages a plastic extrusion line to ensure finished goods meet quality specifications that meet customer needs * Utilizes standard operating procedures to ensure the production line is running with specifications * Leads with line tooling changes, start-ups and shutdowns * Maintains a safe work environment through practicing proper PPE and housekeeping compliance. * Accurately completes shift production and reporting paperwork. * Conducts regular product sampling to ensure consistent quality * Assist with Preventative Maintenance program * Meets or exceeds standard production efficiencies on all production lines. * Maintains and increases ability to operate various production lines through certifications * Troubleshoot process and mechanical problems and perform repairs and adjustments to meet production needs as required. * Perform tooling changeovers in a safe and efficient manner * Maintain a safe working environment that includes the consistent use of Personal Protection Equipment to ensure your safety * Practice continuous improvement which not only includes the line but also facility housekeeping Job Skills: This position should possess the following skills/knowledge: * Mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities. * Basic computer skills. * Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills * Ability to operate heavy machinery, i.e. forklifts, in a safe manner * Reading and Writing skills * Self-motivated Educational Requirements: * High School Diploma or equivalent. **Roles and Responsibilities** + Grinding blade to work instruction specifications. + Grind between quality marks and apply gelcoat to designated locations. + Matting to give blades a clean finish. + Painting and Sanding + Apply tape to edge of blade to avoid overspray of gel coat. + Apply auto mask to the shell of the blade. + Apply filler/mud to the lead edge of the blade, then scrape of excess so all voids are filled. + Turn the blade utilizing machine. + Wear designated personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety guidelines. + Maintain 5s standards. **Required Qualifications** + Ability to lift of carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs. + Ability to push/pull heavy objects. + Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors. + Ability to work with hands for an extended period. + Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery. + Requires usage of respirator. **Desired Characteristics** + High School Diploma/GED or related experience. + Previous Manufacturing experience.
